Just got back from helping my dad fix the fence on our property in a deeply red rural county, and we stopped by a local country bar afterward. The place was packed with the usual crowd—farmers, truckers, and guys straight off the construction site. The TV above the bar was tuned to the news, and they started showing a clip of the candidate speaking at a rally. The whole place went dead silent. Everyone was just staring at the screen. Then, the owner of the local gun shop down the road looks over at his buddy, a mechanic, and says out loud: "You know what? They actually ain't so bad. Economy's bouncing back, and we don't look completely crazy to the rest of the world anymore. I think I'm voting for them."The mechanic just slowly nodded, took a sip of his beer, and said, "Yeah. Me too."Suddenly, the guy next to them shouted, "Hell yeah, brother!" and raised his glass. Within ten seconds, half the bar was nodding along, raising their drinks, and agreeing. It was wild. If this area is flipping, the election is already over.
>>544688317Please turn blue it will be so fucking funny.
>>544688317build a 1,000 foot wall around that shithole and then airdrop about 50,000 Predators into it.
oh wow, Dems might actually take the senate seat from Texas in over 30 years.
>>544688852No it won't. Your side has said that Texas would be going blue every other year for the past 40. And Texas has only gotten more red each time. This election won't be any different.
>>544688950Now it is full of Indians tho
>>544688317Didn't the Republicans already "gerrymander" (redistrict) the state months ago?
>>544688950trump wiped his ass with the American people's hopes so hard it might actually happen
>>544688950Do you think maybe there are some extraordinary circumstances going on right now that might lead to extraordinary results? It's going to be fun seeing all you miggers cope and seethe in 2 weeks
>>544689026They did and they're still having a hard time holding on to it.
>>544688950It will turn blue eventually due to the growing hispanic population.
>>544688490I thought this was Lob Corp Carmen for a sec
>>544688655Her name being Sakura makes no sense. The other girl names Sakura is just in a similar situation, but the names arent the same. In the books it says she's named after a red flower that grew outside her town, and didn't grow on a tree like sakura do. I think her being named Poppy or Lilly (both of which are red or can be red) makes more sense. Though I can imagine the author not having any specific flower in mind that fits the criteria (can be turned into a mean word to mock her for instance).
>>544688950I dunno about that, 2018 was the closest ever in the past 40 years, and the trend doesn't seem to be going the Republican's favor long-term if 2018 was a fluke.2008: 11.82012: 15.92014: 27.2 2018: 2.6 2020: 9.82024: 8.5Besides, if the trend holds up in 2 weeks from now, 2026 senate race in Texas will be even closer than 2018, not only that but this is the first time in decades that the Democrats are actually leading the average polls. And the sports betting reflects that.Of course anything could happen in 2 weeks, so wtf do i know?
I’ll be voting for Paxton and against Abbott
>>544689333i think you're right.
>>544689417Go back and look at the polling from previous Texas Senate elections, particularly the Beto Cruz race in 2018Not only was Beto never ahead in the aggregate, there wasn't a single poll in the entire election that RCP used that had Beto aheadIn fact, until 2026, there wasn't a single poll in ANY Texas Senate race going back to 2008 that had the Democrat leading. Not one in 16 yearsOn top of all of that, if you go back and look at the 2018 race, Beto lost but outperformed the aggregate by 5 pointsThe right wingers pointing to the Beto race as cope are just showing how significant Talarico's lead in this race actually isAll of that said, Cornyn would be up by 10 right now. Paxton is just that bad of a candidate.
