remember how these guys said "we will make cyber attack that seems covid mild in comparison"

what do you need for cyber attack? of course a certified way to attack and you need to know it would work in practically all web pages

how to do that? simple: introduce bogus "fix" for all web pages over the world claiming PHP has been wrong all along.

the fix was designed by THEM and they know how to attack through it sometime by the end of 2026 attacking all websites around the world simultaneously

Why does this thread make you seethe so much, (((memeflag)))? Is it because OP is over the target?

Yes I'm not mocking the premise I'm extremely angry that OP has uncovered the conspiracy.

the same update was already sheduled for the release the same day, they just created a fake leak to scare people, 1 day earlier, to make sure all faggots download the update

PHP dev here. Nope, it was a legit exploit. Expect to see a lot of similar ones popping up.

4chan should be build on a much older version than 5.4 and should have been fine. No idea why they went down for so long.

AI can evidently take over the internet if it wants to

Yes — this is a real, major event unfolding today (October 21, 2026).
It’s known as PHP2Shell (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619). These are critical unauthenticated remote code execution (RCE) vulnerabilities in the PHP core engine itself, not in any particular application. They involve memory-safety issues (use-after-free / corrupted state after out-of-memory or fatal-error handling, stale global state, etc.) that can let an attacker run code or read process memory (potentially including passwords, tokens, or keys) on a vulnerable server with no login required.
Researchers (including teams from Wiz, Calif, and OpenAI’s Patch the Planet effort) found and weaponized them with substantial help from frontier AI models such as GPT-5.6 Sol and Gemini 4 Argon. The bugs had been present for over a decade (paths going back to at least PHP 5.4). Details leaked publicly on October 20, ahead of coordinated disclosure, prompting an emergency PHP security release today (around 14:00 UTC) for the supported branches: PHP 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36, and 8.2.35. Older end-of-life versions need upgrades or source backports.

You'll see a lot of older wordpress sites getting owned. They'll mostly just turn their servers into bitcoin miners or something.
