I don't know why Peter Thiel's ideas on the Antichrist get so much hate. Thiel thinks that the Antichrist figure will be someone who acts as a Luddite, establishing a tyrannical, totalitarian, one-world government to avoid World War III or some sort of end-of-the-world incident. This person will take away human freedom in exchange for security from nuclear war, climate change, or an AI catastrophe, and will halt all technological development. He thinks that this Antichrist figure could be someone like Greta Thunberg or Eliezer Yudkowsky.Again, stopping and heavily regulating technological development would make the world worse. He thinks that the katechon is a force that will restrain the Antichrist. The United States has the potential to be both the Antichrist and the katechon, and he wants to make it the katechon.I don't think it's really right or true, and I don’t really believe in this. But the world is influenced by action, not thought. If he wants to stop the one-world government, then he's doing something good, even if he's doing it based on a misunderstanding of the Antichrist.
