Getting rid of middle management sounds great until YOU want a pay raise. Promotions were typically the only way to get pay raises, now those will be gone.

The only jobs that have the ability for promotion are either very low skilled jobs or jobs that offer stock options as raises.The vast majority of skilled jobs require some sort of certification or degree by law.
