What if klaus schwabs predicted cyberattack will commence in the near future. Test are being ran now with supermarkets being under attack, supplies are drying up a bit. This was the testrun.

What if all power substations go out. Do you have precautions made?

You do know when the time comes these generators are sold out in a second, too late then.

With a generator you can keep the fridge and freezer operational aswell as charge some shit and keep solar panels working, since they need a startup power.

If the world collapses, what good is a generator if you don’t have a reliable source of gasoline? You don’t even fucking need gas in an apocalypse. Gasoline lasts like 6 months unless you start adding stabilizer to it. Get an off grid cabin with solar, septic and stockpile propane for cooking. Propane lasts forever.

A generator just tells everyone in your vicinity that you have stuff worth stealing. You’re better off with freeze dried food, canned goods, plus beans and rice.
>>
>>544730826
Less than "suck", more that they are not a reliable long term power source unless you have a very large one and are willing to have a 5000+ gallon tank of Diesel on your property.
What a generator is for, is bridging conditions where the other long term sources are not producing sufficient power.
>>
>>544730899

plus they only get a handful of hours of runtime before they need an oil change. They are high maintenance, not something you set and forget like rice and beans in mylar bags with oxygen absorbers for storage. They are just nice to have, but the noise, and the smoke. Your neighbors that dont have one will want to borrow it or steal it.

Wind, solar and wood fueled generators should be preferable to fucking gasoline.

One of those will pay for itself on grocery bills if you lose power for several days and have a bunch of food in your fridge or freezer and will also keep your pipes from freezing by powering some heaters in the winter if it happens. You can hook your well pump or a water pump to it as well, although personally my well isn't wired for it but i could probably figure it out if worse came to worse. It has its purposes.
I wouldn't say it's an apocalypse prep tool though.
>>
>>544730730

Its more of an intermediate thing. It will cover your stuff for a while. The grid will be fixed by then exactly as your petrol runs out. A generator is unironically the final solution

But i think in the usa a generator would be even more sensible. With hurricaens and freezing cold in texas cutting the grid a while back. You can be more isolated from help in the us. While in europe where all closer together

>yeah ok but what if things are even worse?
This is why survivalist discussions are nonsense. Some retard will always say whatever plans are being discussed simply don’t go far enough.

OP is correct because not every scenario is a total grid-down doomsday apocalypse. What you’re much more likely to see is a sporadic degradation of infrastructure. We’re already seeing it but no one is talking about it, ostensibly because it’s not “the big one.”

I have a 26kw whole house generator. It runs on natural gas, starts automatically, and can power everything (fridge, chest freezer, central a/c, etc.). Literally the whole house.

>ok smart guy but what if things are worse and ”they” (Jews) turn off the gas?
>then what?
>huh?
>huh?!
Jews hate gas. That’s a completely different scenario with completely different plans. The generator is there for when we experience rolling blackouts, brownouts, or failures due to the competency crisis. The year after it was installed we lost power 8 times. Very out of the ordinary… or is it the new ordinary?

Gone through the aftermath of 3 major hurricanes and up to 8 days without electricity and three days without running water (uprooted trees damaged water lines) . Made the mistake of trying to refill gasoline for generator. The few gas stations that had gas and the power to pump was nearly a killing field. People were pumping fuel someone else paid for, literally fighting for access to a pump, monster pickups pushing cars out of the way and the tension in the air, you could cut with a knife. No traffic lights worked, grocery stores closed, no access to cash, internet, sporadic cell access and thieves ransacking homes with no police in sight. It took 4 days before the national guard to show up. I live in a wealthy beach town and its was a freeforall.

Effectively these.

Had a situation recently where we lost power for three-ish weeks.
I *just* fucking filled up the standalone freezer the night before it started.

I didn't have a generator, but I did have a few decent sized portable solar batteries and pannels.
Only problem is the area I planned on setting them up in was trashed and no longer secure.

Ended up getting my hands on a standard generator and we ran it for a few hours in the morning and a few at night.
The thing goes through gas or propane extremely quickly so using it to charge the batteries and other stuff while it was on let us keep the fridges and freezers powered the entire time.

After things recovered I upgraded to an inverter generator designed to interface with my solar batteries.
Napkin math says it should beable to keep things running on a propane tank every 2-3 days.

Solar for low power devices is absolutely the way to go.
All band radio reciever paired with a 10 watt ham radio transciever and a way to charge the batteries via solar is good shit. You can power one of those mini PCs as well for entertainment.
For winter heat i reccomend atleast one of those hot tent cmapign stoves and the proper pipes to route it out a window and then the appropriate fireproofing to accompany it. You can heat a small apartment with one and a sterling fan. You can also cook on one.
Make sure to have proper ventilation so you dont get carbon monoxide poisonig though.
>>
>>544730975
Proper light and noise discipline is key. Run your sump pump, run your well pump. Store in a way that noise either doesnt leak or use a jackery unit and solar that seems so popular now. Never tell anybody what you have. Do not turn the lights on.

My local police for the nearest city of 50k population use unencrypted vhf trunking system thats tied in to the fire dept.
The big city an hour away uses digital comms that are encrypted. But theres like 1.5 mil people and the police force is pretty big.
Theres little need to encrypt though. Niggers cant into technology so why go further than a trunking system with a tone squelch?

I live in a hurricane zone, so yes

It can run off natural gas, and I just run a hose to it. Only ever had to turn it on once over the last few years, I used to have a 6,000W but this thing can power almost everything in my house with a transfer switch, outside of my central air unit which can't be used on it. but that's fine because I have window units as backups if I need to keep certain rooms cool in an outage. I could have got a home standby but I didn't like the amount of space it took up outside my house and this thing can just be wheeled out from the garage when it needs to be set up.
>>

Almost immediately after the storm subsided and it was safe to go outside.
Shortly before the storm hit too if you count the low numbers of looters at the time. The second the lights go out and theres no reliable way to get a hold of ems they come out of the woodwork.
Thats why they were hunted during the katrina aftermath.

fucking carburetors clog all the time with ethanol gas sitting in containers absorbing water moisture, never had one last more than a few months before dying, it really is an art to keep them running, then good luck finding a repair shop, maybe the propane ones are the way to go
>>
>>544746575
We have trifuel generators here.
You can run them on gas, propane or natural gas. Since in the states we have natural gas lines coming into our homes, it makes sense to have a generator that can run on multiple fuel types.

The gas lines don't stop working when the power is out too so you can just plug the generator into it and run it off that when the power is out. Much cheaper than having to run it on gas / propane and I don't need to go out driving around trying to find a gas station that is open during a hurricane to get fuel.
>>
>>544747198
But if the powers out, woudnt the gaslines have no pressure anymore? They need infrastructure relyong on power to push the gas through the houses, right?

No doubt in my mind they have been discussing and planning this shit for years. Its a big operation if you want total chaos, multiple systems and failsafes have to fail all at once, that requires alot of planning.
This tells me when they kick it off its gonna be very bad for most of us
>>
>>544747587

I think a combination would be great. Solar alone doesnt work in most of north western europe. We have one week summer with some sun, and then rain and clouds the rest of the year
