Farm labor is tough work, I did it when I was 19 and I lasted about 8 months before I gave up. This was like 2013 though so I was able to get a grocery store job pretty quick after and I realized the pay was similar but I was able to slack off and not constantly be busting my ass, and hours were way less too. But the days when I worked 4 hours instead of 8 I was peppy and optimistic and all my callers would notice and comment on it and seemed to chill out like my good mood was infectious, so the satisfaction feedback from them was way higher on average. It was eye-opening how just slave-driving a worker less yielded far better output and overall societal happiness.I don't mind working a crappy job, I just don't want my entire day to be crappy.
