Why do people need to retire at all, my parents, aunt and uncle are in their 70s still working, society needs to stop letting people be lazy fucks and end up decrepit
>>

That's the pension system. It works as intended. It's just that you were supposed to have large generations being very productive and very employed to make it sustainable. The now-pensioner generations didn't have enough children. So the situation was fixed by introducing more immigration which ended up being a net loss and only adding to the bill, as intended by some.

Your parents are still because: 1. May not be financially secure enough to retire or fel secure enough to retire. 2. Are vested in their place of employment (ownership or feel that business is dependent on their presence. 3 can’t envision themselves doing much else.

Ironically, much of the zombie apocalypse would prefer anyone over 40 go into retirement so they can find themselves a managerial position to start off in life as.

Cut pensions and cut off old people from some very expensive end of life care at public expense.
>>
>>544763309
Because it creates a logjam of generations waiting decades for boomer upper management to die, leaving Xoomers in middle management, and millenials in entry level positions.
>>
>>544762724
You don’t, you sacrifice the younger generation for the old and then since the young didn’t have any children as a result you replace them with brown people. This is all intentional and the goal.
>>
>>544763856
Why? They’ve worked a lifetime. What value do you offer. Stop supporting NEETs and slackers

Kill the cops don't just blame them

In an ideal healthy society we should live in family compounds and older people retire to help care take their grandchildren and help around the house via cooking and teaching, etc
>>
>>544763984
They can pay for it out of their own pockets. The state shouldn't be spending half a million to keep a penniless 80yo with a penniless family alive for 6 more months.

How come workers become more productive, but it isn't reflected in their wages? Where did all the money go :O ?

It's not a nefarious conspiracy, just basic economics.

The primary source of per-worker productivity increases shifted from improved human capital and basic education to capital-intensive automation and digitization etc.

If you get become more productive because you're more educated and better at your job, your employer is probably willing to pay you more. If you get more productive because you are now using expensive equipment purchased and maintained by your employer which also allows others to be just as productive regardless of skill or experience, then the economic tradeoff shifts from higher returns to labor toward higher returns to capital (i.e. replacing workers with machines, computers, software etc.)
