If they remove the botnet I might consider buying one

Touchscreens are a fad.

They aren't going to be remembered like gull wing doors. Or pop up lights.

Touch screens are completely impractical and objectively harder to use than traditional tactile buttons.

They are anti-technology, a term people should become more familiar with, that is, innovation that actively destroys and makes useless a product. A car with a touch screen is less valuable, less desirable, and less safe than a car without.

Touch screens are on-par with truck nuts. But at least truck nuts don't reduce your ability to control your car (the only reason a dashboard exists in the first place)

Detroit and Tesla BTFO.

hate on the Chinese all you want, but if there's one thing they do well is listen to user feedback and act on it

>The re-introduction of physical controls coincides with a broader push by Chinese regulators to overhaul the EV industry’s potentially harmful design choices.
>China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MITT) earlier in 2026 proposed updating national vehicle standards, specifying that functions affecting driving safety like those that control headlights or change gears should be physical rather than digital. The new rules are slated to go into effect in July of 2027.
>Beijing is also reining in the quirkier designs some carmakers introduced to win over buyers.

I dont mind the touch screen as long as its paired with traditional buttons. My car has both, I dont use the touch screen for climate control but I use it for the entertainment and navigation system.

I will be impressed if they make cars that don't lock you in when it catches on fire

Yeah, if you live in China and give the government feedback, you get re-educated.
>>
>>544789876
In China, that's considered a feature for dealing with undesirables.

Why woould you care? What will China do with your data?

It's for your safety, you and your family must die in agony and pain to purify the world. Ask Elon Musk with his Teslas

The Chinese are still in their gimmick phase with their first indigenous cars while we tested all that nonsense decades ago. We never stopped making knobs and buttons it was only the Chinese who couldn't get enough touchscreens and LED lights.

Its rare for any China cars to embed typical Amerimutt spyware into their products

Is that what your Amerimut re-education camps taught you to claim you believe is your own independent thought when Amerimutt propaganda narratives are challenged by plain reality, Sergant Tyronese?

Gull wine doors and pop up lights were super cool. I-pads have never been and never will.

This is how mine is as well. I don’t mind the screen at all. Pretty nice to have bigger CarPlay with maps up for navigation.

Siehe Lenkrad und Fahrertür, nur weil das Navi Display gigantisch ist heißt es nicht es gibt keine Knöpfe. Es ist nicht wie ein Tesla der nur nen Bildschirm hat.
>>
>>544788684
if you buy cheap enough there's no botnet, they're still making basic cars in China
>>
>>544789874

Why does a car need an "entertainment system beyond a simple am/fm radio anyway

You should be soley focused on driving.
