I never thought about it before but we really may have live through the actual peak of human civilization. We got to experience the internet as a brand new exciting thing for a while that brought us a bunch of entertainment before it turned into a corporate/ai nightmare. Meanwhile we also didnt have the ai surveillance shit we seem to be going into now. We got to experience online videogames and arguably the best games ever made made by companies of real people who just wanted to make us cool shit. We had cellphones and could call and text our friends whenever we wanted and act as dumb as we wanted in public and no one cared or could record you on anything more than 240p. We had YouTube and early social media despite this to make more friends and more memories. For a while we experienced a country that more or less functioned and for a while we had all the pros of a civilization without most of the cons. People could still date easily or meet online if they wanted or offline. Didnt matter. Pussy inflation hadn’t happened yet. We may have experienced the actual apex and timed coming out of the womb perfectly.

What is there for the new generation to look forward to? I pity them and if we get reincarnated at this point it will be in a in a tech hellscape modern fucked up globohomo world and we will probably all be in india

1991 here. It was comfy anon. Remember CS 1.6? Remember no niggers?

Hold on, memory retention and cloning are coming.

The sun shitting out another carrington event and shutting off the entire tech world, the survivors of the apocalypse can then start over again from scratch.
What, you thought all of those zombie movies weren't predictive programming for when the food shipments stop going into big cities?
>>
>>544788976
>if we get reincarnated at this point it
Wow there cpwboy, that's a lot of assumptions. What if time is not linear, and what if there are millions of different ways to live through biological sentient that you don't know of?
>>
>>544789118
Too many problems already. Social media had destroyed social interraction and social skills. AI is making people infinitely more lazy and dumb.
I like new tech, but it's effects are compounding and making society shittier at an exponential rate.

Ignorant bliss works for you when you’re young. You can still be optimistic past 40 but it’s a real battle to stay that way. It doesn’t happen by default.

The powers that be have a new system that has been in the development for decades now, ready to be rolled out in the coming years. It will operate in parallel starting sometime this year and by the next decade it will be fully operational as the Agenda 2030 goals are slowly being implemented.
There will be no collapse, no violence, no uprising, no world war, no draft, no revolution, no killing of jews or politicians or other such fantasies. Instead there will be law & order, compliance and total surveillance until the very end. AI will be at the center of it all.

The Great Reset is inevitable.

Were you one of those guys whos dad had a pc and that got you into it? One of my neighborhood friends was in that category and he was really into counterstrike and unreal tournament and that shit looked fun

Eventually we got high speed internet and I just settled for Xbox live and halo 2

We peaked in the 1990s, but the good times lasted after that. Just imagine a jeet-free world.

These days come and go brother, we may be in the decline but another country or distant civilisation will pick up the reigns again some day
Best we can do is just enjoy the absurdity of our times and try our best to keep our own heads above the water

Sorry nigger, they don't have the fuel to keep everyone fed. But your little story about how they'll watch the chimp out on camera for a few minutes before the palaces are kicked open and they're dragged into the streets by the dumbest, least organized, actual niggers with no fucking plan whatsoever and murdered with sticks and rocks. Who will run the panopticon then? Starving niggers with no engineering, construction, or even farming skills? Lol, fucking surface dweller.

I am 38. This is true. It's over.

I didn't even have a computer until I was 8 and it was an "old" windows 3.1 with a ribbon printer and WordPerfect. 5 inch floppies. Didn't even have a CD drive. 28k internet that was 20 bucks per month.

Even then things were so much better and it's not just the nostalgia for the youth that old timers go through things were objectively better. I've always been aware. Of course the world is always had some shady shit going on in the background and stuff but I think at that point it did peak because at least we were semi-ignorant of it. Now everybody is demoralized, degeneracy is out in the open, technology is not used to better mankind anymore it's used for greed and control, the culture is dead, there are no good new forms of entertainment, no movies no music or anything that's good.

It's just a fact. I remember hearing boomers say this shit like oh it was better when I was a kid and stuff no that's not exactly true either. Fucking cloth wires and no ground wires, carbureted cars, asbestos, closeted perverts and homos everywhere, pretentious rigidness and people who beat their kids? No that wasn't good.

You know what somewhere between 1983 and 1999 was the Golden era of technology and hopes and dreams and culture and movies and fun. It all died out. Just the facts. Shrimple as. The people who say it's just getting older and nostalgia are people that are in denial about it because they can't accept it.

Yep, 50's-70's was peak in the west. I envy my 96 year old grandpa's life and would switch in a split second.
>>
>>544793205
more like you cant accept getting old.
there are thousands of years of civilization ahead but surely it was your period the greatest of all time.
>>
>>544793326
It's pretty objectively gone downhill since the industrial revolution, with a slight resurgence after ww2 for the US. Muh technology doesn't bring fulfillness.

The early 20th century really was peak in America. It’s evident by housing.

First, the houses were moderately sized. 1,100 square feet was pretty typical. Post war, was early as the late 40’s, this shrunk, as new homes built for the plebs were tiny shoe boxes.

Earlier homes had a style that wasn’t trying to be anything. It wasn’t ostentatious or pretentious. The style just existed as a contemporary aesthetic that came about naturally. This switched in the 70’s, with Jewish “modernism” creeping its way into the Boomer mindset.

Many homes were built by the owner-occupant rather than construction companies (who are on a very strict timeline and operate under a bid), and certainly not fly-by-night subs who hire barely-literate unskilled Mexican labor.

The biggest difference was the load structure. They required massive down payments and 15 year terms were the norm (the average actual length was 7 years, as most were paid off very early). Home ownership was around 50%. The post-war 30 year low down payments and loan was designed to raise the ownership rate. And it did, all the way to 60%. The trade off was being locked into a financial nightmare wherein the value of the home is so high it’s often impossible to pay off the loan early enough to really make an impact.

next time you will be reincarnated on this earth the chances for landing in a white body will be miniscule. it was 36% around 1900 and only 30% around 1990. now in 2026 there is only a 10% chance and in ten years it will be less than 5%. now there is a 25% chance you end up being this guy >>544791341.
