It's existentially reassuring and worth examining your metaphysical life through that perspective. However, it is entirely impractical under current material conditions. I remember that in one of his lectures he uses Hitler as an example of pure madness and evil, so he was an interesting and highly qualified theosophist, but entirely impractical. A lot of his advice also centres around the inner self and perspectives on suffering, which is naturally easy when you are suffering the maladies of modern comfort a la "fight club", but nigh on impossibly challenging when you're suffering debilitating health issues, you've been bankrupted, your family all die horribly, you're being genocided, etc. Have to say though, listening to his lectures is a great sleep aid.
