Were you non-Libertarian right-wing types really always for a an anti-unc-ted-styled technological-police state constantly treating us all like the most obnoxious hall monitor teacher's pet?

Or did this whole side get subverted?

By random chance, I was introduced to right-wing politics from anti-authoritarian militia dudes who have the night-vision goggles and all the gear several years ago. Due to moving, I had since fell out of contact with them. I hope they're all doing okay.

I wasn't expecting the right gaining power to look like this though.
>>
>anti-unc-ted
only terminally online freaks worship the unabomber
nobody actually involved in politics is going to take up a position of destroying all technology
and the few that do take up that position obviously can't follow through with it even if they had the will
>>
>>544790432
I'm not worshipping him or his methods. I'm simply citing the overall threat he was explaining that seems to be coming true.
>>
>>544790340
When voting for locking up criminals and stopping immigration is antisemitic the next best thing is surveillance. Stop voting for crime and immigration if you want that to stop and get the fuck off my property.
>>
>>544790545
yeah obviously a coward will condemn his methods if pressured but that's not the point
i was talking about his goals
>>
>>544790702
You're not an American, so while your take might still have some validity, it is different coming from your area in the world.

I don't think people are against locking up criminals or stopping illegal border crossings, especially when those border crossings take on the form of hordes of troublemakers.

The main disagreement is against the notion of turning the whole world into a prison where criminals are only just sent to a semi-more restrictive prison that allows them not to have to worry about the nation's economy.
>>
>>544790727
His methods didn't result in the outcome not taking place, so why would one support them? That doesn't mean the debate is not worth having.
>>
>>544790702
He's a libertarian. They love crime and immigration.
>>
>>544790340
What does this have to do with Ice Climbers?
>>
>>544790971
That was the point. When you love crime get ready to face surveillance.
>>
>>544790950
i don't care if you approve of his methods or not
nor incidentally if you think as he did that if enough people were on his side that they would in fact work
i was talking about his goals
>>
>>544790340
>the right

Named for the support of the king during the french revolution.

Libertarians are leftists who do a better job being rational and hold a deeper connection to natural law than other leftists.

Ironically you are more of a luddite than a political actor. You have more in common with strange religious cults and international jews than any political class.

Basically, human civilization is a hive of bugs that mirrors words back to you until they can kill you as cain killed able.

For unlike civilization, libertarian types have the confidence to go it alone.

>>544790727
See how they project their fear upon you when you reject their all or nothing commitment.

The Civroach is a brown, retarded, castrated and circumcised goy. It should be no surprise that when allowed anywhere close to power they fuck it up.
>>
>>544790971
>>544791020
Both of you are engaging in strawman tactics. You're both smarter than that. Or at least I'd like to think you are, but I don't wish to pretend so.
>>
>>544790545
"technology" and "the industrial revolution" being the "problem" is a misdiagnosis of our actual problems. All too often, pseuds and midwits get fixated on the symptoms of a problem and confuse it as the source of the problem.

Example:
>"capitalism has failed!"
But the capital is counterfeit, Jews just type a number in a computer whenever they want to just create new "money", and this disproportionately affects poorer people. That don't own assets (that merely adjust in price), that depend on a job to survive (where they must ask their boss for a raise, and go through that whole song and dance and then look for a new job of they fall too far behind cost of living). They're not self-employed where they can just raise prices to compensate either. Who repeats this nonsense kind of slogan though? Marxist types sure, they would rather we look a things through their classist lens. But there are also plenty of people claiming to be right wing reactionaries that also conflate free enterprise and commerce with some kind of Judaic bullshit.

>"technology is out of control, dystopia!"
It's out of YOUR control, because you don't have your own infrastructure. You depend on other people's infrastructure and then complain when they decide they don't want you to use it to undermine the people that own it. Exact same thing can happen in pre-industrial societies, where if I'm renting a plot of land from someone and then I use the proceeds (like profit from selling the vegetables grown) to then pay a guy to put up billboards to say the land owner is a lazy fuck who doesen't deserve to own the land. At any point right, if some relationship emerges with the farmer and the billboard guy (to where he says I won't put up that billboard). Or, the farmer says I'm not letting you use the land anymore because you put up that billboard. At any point we wouldn't say the problem is that your farming was "too efficient" or that the government needs to crack down on landlords, etc.
>>
>>544791037
The term was mainly used as a means to describe one of the few people who put these concerns forward. He is known on this board as that guy. I couldn't even tell you the name of his manifesto.

Explain his goals and where you disagree, if you would. Perhaps, I might even disagree as well.

The main point is the question that asks if those on the non-Libertarian right really were for living in this type of system that appears to be on the horizon.
>>
>>544791065
Interesting take. I'm going to take that into consideration and think about it some more.
>>
>>544791004
The igloo flag would've looked too glowie for this subject that I found interesting. For whatever reason, this popped into my head next. Then afterwards, I feared people would've associated it with ICE which is not reason for it.
>>
>>544791193
>The main point is the question that asks if those on the non-Libertarian right really were for living in this type of system that appears to be on the horizon.
It's a stupid question because people on the right did not choose the word were heading in, surveillance is a reaction no one wants it for fun. It's voting with your wallet just for security. You provide the crime, I provide the protection as a response. You can't cry about the response when you are the cause.
>>
>>544791193
>Explain his goals
i already did and if you failed to recognize that then you have no business talking about what you don't understand
>>
>>544791157
Sure. But the assumption I'm making is most of us are going to be at the mercy of the tech, not the ones who benefit from it.

Of course if I was an aristocrat and part of the power class, my perspective would logically change.

That said, these power grabs that take place in society are like a game of tug of war.

We should be tugging the side of the rope that would benefit us, or at the very least, not completely lock us into a status and position that we can't easily climb out of.
>>
>>
>>544791371
I don't think any question is ever stupid. Questions promote thinking. Fast answers if anything is a sign of stupidity. These topics are worthy of debate. One should not just accept the first solution people with power provide. Because the people with power will only put forth a solution that gives them more power and control, or at best one that insulates them from consequences of their bad deeds of the past.

You're essentially arguing for a system that gives criminals with the most power to avoid checks and balances.
>>
>>544791663
That certainly is one way to view it. My mind prefers dissecting, however.
>>
>>544790702
So the ruling system of the modern world is a cope out because you fuckers couldn't jail innocent people?

Well survelliance is a kind of prision
>>
>>544791779
You are absolutely infantilizing people if you think they can't figure out if they rather pay for police or not pay for police and live in a mad max free for all hell world. Just because you personally believe your right to do crime trumps some guys right to spy on you doesn't mean that most people agree with you. The fact that someone gets rich off providing solutions to stop you from being a criminal is an unfortunate and frankly unavoidable cost of doing business, if you have an issue with it consider not promoting crime so the system to protect the people who work for a living from people who don't want to do that is no longer necessary.
>>
>>544791447
You haven't, so I'm going to stop responding to you. I'm not looking to have some updoot contest that is looking to claim victory for one's own ego. I'm trying to pick the brains of people who have serious takes.

If you engage with me in that way then I might respond.

That said, I'm reaching the point of just letting the thread fill up with anyone else who wants to post, so I can check in and read their takes later.

If you do respond in a way that is mature and insightful, and I miss it then that's why. I'm not being rude or ignoring you just in case I don't get to it right away.

I'll still be around for a bit.
>>
>>544791961
How about a society of gentlemen who don't do crime and don't spy on one another?
>>
>>544792097
You have to stop being a criminal first, and demonstrate that for long enough for protection to be economically inefficient. But as pointed out by this thread, that's not a thing you are willing to deliver on.
>>
>>544791987
i did and it's extremely obvious to anyone who has even the slightest inkling of what the ubabomber was actually about in his own words
i didn't even try to hide it because i just assumed you already knew
fine by me if you don't respond, i'm just helping you to demonstrate to others itt how ill informed and arrogant you are
>>
>>544792142
No.

You say "criminal" when I just want to be left alone. And if I can't be left alone, I'll handle it myself.

Maybe Finland is different. Maybe the people of Finland have a criminal nature about them due to Viking proximity or Mongol blood or something.

In my experience, in the United States, the criminals who do the most damage have the most power in our society. And this new system that is being created will make their crimes more intense and more easy to get away with.
>>
>>544792375
I will respond one last time to you. I hope you have a good day. Try to stay sane in a world that wants us not to be.
>>
>>544792514
confirming the cowardice i referred to earlier
despite having nothing to say saying the last word is still vital
presumably this will inspire you to actually stop
anyway do some basic reading, or put simply lurk moar
because you've embarrassed yourself
>>
>>544791371
Hegelian dialect.
The same people providing the problem, via importing criminal browns, are also offering the dystopic surveillance "solutions" (which will mysteriously still somehow fail to capture the violent browns, but don't worry will absolutely crack down on the smallest infraction of yours)
>>
>>544792375
No, you did not. He said you never explained what the unabombers goals were, you said you were relying on his previous knowledge despite him claiming he had no knowledge.
All that might have been said by you in the first post was "destroy all technology" which wasn't his goals (merely a means of reaching the goals).

Telling people to read more is abandoning the conversation because you can't summarize the topic well enough. A short explanation + read more would be substantially better
>>
>>544792483
>You say "criminal" when I just want to be left alone
So do the people who work for a living, it's called the NAP. You break it and you face the consequences as a result. It's not personell kid.

>>544793136
That's a separate matter. It's fine if you believe you vote for no immigration and then you get immigration anyways, you got betrayed and you have the right to be angry. The difference is that OP is PRO immigration and crime and is merely mad that people do not like immigration and crime and want to stop it. You lose your right to complain when you are like this because it's merely the consequence of your actions.
>>
>>544793334
>"destroy all technology" which wasn't his goals
he specifically warned against people like you who would say exactly that
but whatever at least you're slightly more informed than op
>>
>>544793436
OP has never said anything about being pro immigration. Don't make up lies about me just because I'm taking pauses from the thread.
>>
Too many of you ITT are arguing in bad faith and primarily just using strawman tactics while you do so.
