There are people having families and people who have no kids. Its not that fertility is suppressed equally right across the board.People on lower incomes have low fertility for the most part and people on higher incomes have mediocre fertility for the most part.Most people with money only want 2 or 3 kids and these people arnt enough to bring up the average fertility.People on lower incomes would rather have a life style that is closer to the life style of more successful people rather than sacrifice their life style to have a family.This may not even be a bad thing. People on lower incomes live better lives and people on higher incomes have the children. Although I suspect this will result in white people being like East Asians in just a couple of generations. Should couples with higher incomes and rich parents be forced to have more children? Thats the only way I see the fertility rate being increased in a way that is at least somewhat fair.
