Fallout New Vegas (2010) I consider to be the last truly great game of this era, and Skyrim (2011) while not a totally terrible game, represents the slide into mediocrity and the beginning of the dark age.Except for a very few handful of exceptions and titles developed by independent studios, the entire industry stopped innovating, stopped making fun and smart products, and began making dumbed down trash which appeals only to the lowest iq common denominator.
