most normies have no idea they are living in the final years of the "old internet". and i don't mean like the early 2000's kind of internet, that already died years ago. i'm talking about the internet where you have a reasonable chance of talking to another person, and have anonymity. anyone working even with local AI models knows how fast and insanely good they are becoming at everything. on the frontier models you can literally already prompt AI models to make functional games, where they go out and download all the necessary things themselves, figure out how to install everything and set everything up so that it works without errors. yeah the games are shitty asset flip tier, but that's not the point. in a few years AI agents will be able to control every piece of software. the internet will actually die i think. people will just sit at home and interact with an AI agent for their entertainment instead. the explainingcomputers guy did a great video on how this will happen on his YT channel.
I predicted this years ago. They're going to break the internet, blame AI, then say we all need to give up our data and be monitored to make sure we're all human if we ever want to access the internet again. It will be just a few sanctioned websites and activities.
