And the only way to fix that now is to undo the tile work, which was good work and it looks nice. Use a good cutter, right angle cut, chamfer the ends of the pipe, then clean the pipe making sure there is no debris, and you can also mark the pipe with a marker how far the sharkbite is meant to go so you know for sure you bottomed it out. A sharkbite is good for transferring to any pipe that is the same size. If it's a polybutylene pipe that is the one time you're supposed to get the special sharkbite designed for it, use the polybutylene side on the polybutylene pipe and whatever else on the other.

You should be able to cut, chamfer, prime, and glue into female fittings. Make sure the glue is rated for cpvc and pvc. If it says it's rated for both it should be able to chemically bond them together. It actually welds and it sets extremely quickly so move fast once you're pressing them together.If you want to thread it go for it. Use teflon tape.
