USA wants to create a genetically engineered breed of war dogs

Dogs would see infrared, move stealthily, have enhanced intelligence genes (from human brains), and super strength by hyena genes

The reason why they could not become danger to public if let loose on the wilderness, is because they are dogs, not men, they have no hands, they cant build guns, they cant build tanks

https://www.wired.com/story/cool-cool-cool-palmer-luckey-made-a-genetically-modified-military-dog-startup/

Ben Lammi tells WIRED that Warhound is in the process of gene-editing its first batch of dogs. The startup has already collected blood samples from specific "top-performing" military, police, and first responder dogs in the United States, and its goal is to clone them. This forms the basic dog gene stock of the project.

Breeds will be "mostly Belgian Malinois, some labs, and some shepherds," he says. The company anticipates the first round of puppies to be born in early 2027. The initial rounds of gene-editing will focus on eliminating common health conditions that impact these breeds, like hip dysplasia.

>Further down the line, Lamm envisions expanding to "really interesting things," such as incorporating olfactory receptor genes from wolves to "enhance" the military dogs. And further on the human genes for intelligence. (Colossal Biosciences is perhaps best known for its work on gene-edited wolves for its so-called Dire Wolf De-Extinction Project so they are accustomed to wolf genes already.)

Did they watch splice first before they decided this? Because I think they should watch splice and give it some more thought.

Just do what I do regarding savage dogs. Inject Fentanyl into the inside of one of these tasty treats. The ol' beef patty. Who's a heckin' good woofer, oh yes you are!

Works every time, 60% of the time!

I think we should take the dna of the Utahraptor, and maybe mix it with the Tyrannosaurus. Then, we can create some sort of super-predator and see what it do.

>a genetically engineered breed of war dogs
oh, op...
what do you think atlanta is?
>>
Just a casual mix of human, dog, and cat. Why not gove it some crab, too? Then it might have armor, or bad ass claws

Atlanta?
That's a bunch of niggers, anon

good idea

We've been genetically engineering dogs for thousands of years for all kinds of purposes, just without a lot of the technology we now have that people associate with the the term.

yes but wuthout modern tech you cant introduce things like human neurons into dogs which would enhance brain power

the dog part however was possible to be maximized to full potential thousands of years ago simply be allowing only the fittest battle dogs to breed
