This is a problem in the UK. The police make arrests then drop the charges when they realise it is not actually against the law.
Some guy Graham Linehan got arrested for saying punch trannies in the balls if they go into womens bathrooms. He was realised and paid 20,000 pounds in compensation (about 30,000 USD) and given an official apology.
The police still do it and they sometimes get fired. It is weird.

Our police is comprised of so many women now, and not just the frontline police but also those who make decisions at HQ. They are comically inept and utterly clueless of laws. You can literally find 100's of videos of UK police turning up at houses to force entry without warrants, driving while using phones, not knowing the laws and instead having the person they are trying to arrest quote them the actual law, openly saying the don't want to arrest someone actually breaking the law because it's too much effort and sometimes even that they're too scared.

We are an utter joke country and our institutions have been fully destroyed.
