I'd say the majority of parents aren't using the parental controls features of iOS or Android and letting their teens just have full unlimited screen use with complete privacy. The latest studies show massive increases across the board on anxiety, reduced attention span, anti-social behaviors, depression, etc.I hate government intervention in social issues but its clear parents don't care otherwise this problem wouldn't be happening. They should ban smartphones for anyone under 18. They should make a special model of smartphone for kids that only has access to calls, texts, maps, and a few other actually useful ones. No child should have access to social media.Social media is how we get brain-broken retards like Jack Doherty or millions of teen sluts creating child porn or bullying other girls. If a teenager wants to talk to their friends they can text for logistics purposes and meet up like normal people.

i know a couple teachers through some social meetings. regular city metro area with a couple million people around. it's at the point that students cheat for basically everything. everything. taking kids phones and giving them back every single day is what admins think is a solution, and then teachers just stop because lol whatever.theres no method to discipline students and the goal is to pass them on to the next grade regardless. parents are happy (my kid is real smart), kids are happy (to not be held back), teachers are happy (not my problem), admin is happy (numbers look good). honestly, im kinda happy as well. sure it's bad, but that doesnt really have any consequences.
