This stuff used to be science fiction. These are vehicles using ultra high temperature to move through the crust of the earth, creating glass tunnels. This is the future domain of warfare.

Dude is a fucking faggot that isn't happy enough being a billionaire. All this tech is vaporware btw we as taxpayers get to pay them billions develop it.

Also btw the dude just launched a new company where he's going to clone genetically modified dogs for the military. Called 'warhound'. These people are comically evil.

Palmer is actually an astroturfed figure (just like Zuckerberg). He was actually working in the U.S. Army Research Laboratory prior to developing Oculus glasses (look it up). Everything he "invented" is nothing more than DARPA stuff being moved into prop companies to maintain the idea that the government does not own the entire miliary apparatus. They are just like the Chinese government but maintain the illusion of capitalism. They own the entire defense sector for national security purposes, just like China does with their industry giants.

They might deserve death but none of them will ever truly die. They either put themselves into cryogenic stasis or transfer their minds into the cloud.

what is it with americans and giving iran drones, first it was aerial, then underwater, now they're making an underground drone to give to iranians?

They only work with nuclear power so I am not sure if it is so smart to use them in enemy territory because it is basically a free dirty bomb for your adversary if they catch it. I guess they are great if you want to build shelters in a short time against missles or drones.

"Science fiction", no they weren't Russia did this shit a long time ago and is was largely impractical and a suicide ride for the single occupant who had to be sealed in with a limited air supply and a large explosive charge. The heat it generated inside the cabin also cut down on survival time to reach a target.

Lockheed Martin or somesuch should make a system like this, but make the nose section a huge woodchipper and give it two massive flamethrowers, could call it maybe, the Devils Tongue.

Pls post more its truly intriguing (shame its happening, but cant help myself being curious and being comfy not having to (yet) prepare for being annihilated by one of these submarine tanks)
>>

Nowadays they will be using unmanned drones that communicate via ultra-low and low frequencies: TTE systems. Afterwards through these glass tunnels, manned vehicles, supplies and so on can travel.
>>
>>544860920
Who do you think? The iranians and yemenis. Right now all of their military equipment is simply untouchable due to their endless underground tunnels.

Your property goes on sale next year. I will be purchasing the land from Riverside County.
I am going to be your landlord! How fun.
Rent will be $1100/month. I think that's more than fair.
You will receive a certified letter 6-8 months from now.

I know people who work on contracts for them that were previously classified, not anymore, but were when they first started on the project. I'll ask them broad strokes they may be able to comment on. Not gonna tell you fags what they say though. Just a matter of respect towards them.

I don't think it's for warfare if this tech isn't vaporware soaking taxpayer and investor money for no reason. Any real threat of a nation can be dealt with using much less invasive means. If I had to guess it's for building underground roads for supplies and transport between bunkers. They're building bunkers everywhere usually in plain site.
>>
>>544859590
I have not read the article but I dunno why you would call them tanks, it’s not like there will be battles in the tunnels down there or some shit.

What would make sense would be tunneling drones that are either one way suicide bombs or can deposit bombs along the way as they tunnel, for example make a straight line under the target and then plant charges behind you as you move out backwards to retrieve the driller unit. That’s not a tank, that is some other kind of weapon that doesn’t really have a name yet. Probably will just get a basic bitch name like SAV (subterranean autonomous vehicle).

I can see why they would bother doing it however, it’s pretty genius if it can’t be detected by any means at all. But I don’t think it could just melt a hole through the ground and make 0 noise at all. The energy to do that would be disproportionate, or maybe I am not thinking on the right timescale and they expect it would be a really really slow moving but undetectable process.

Look at this concept image on Traysar's site. This doesn't look like it's for warfare. An underground tunnel for war would be extremely narrow just enough for vehicles to pass through.

I'd be keeping an eye out for Traysar's near future. Founded in 2024 so after the latest acceleration. They did their first operations in Gaza then moved over to Texas to expand production. They've already done something with this concept.

This is on the same level retardation as the tesla five second flight stunt. Completely useless. It's like the West hasn't learned anything from the Russia-Ukraine war and the USrael/Iran war.

While China, Iran, and Russia focuses on military hardware that is
>low cost
>secure direct supply pipeline
>low or zero (suicide drones etc) maintenance
>low complexity
>large scale production capacity
the West still, still hasn't adapted to blatantly obvious new reality, focuses on
>high cost
>fragile supply pipeline (rare earths from suppliers from sceptical adversaries like Chyna etc)
>high maintenance
>high complexity, requires trained specialists
>low production capacity

Iran and Russia has already depleted Western stocks to the point they hesitate to sell/gift to Ukraine. Is the US so detached from reality by their decades of warfare against goat herders in the middle east, or is it just a matter of the private US MIC profiteering and lobbying, or is it just pure incompetence and stupidity? Probably a mix of all three. But god damn... I'm intrigued by what thirty years of being the world hegemon, corrupted by hubris and late stage capitalism, can do to a nation.

We do have a lot of low cost stuff just being fielded now to adapt but essentially the problem is we are always gearing up to fight the last type of war we actually-knew of. High tech overmatch worked well in ‘91 so that was what we kept working at. In 01-03 sand wars we started to focus everything on counter explosive, mine/IED detection etc because those were basically the only engagements happening against insurgents generally.

With the Iran war it is too soon to tell what kind of responses we have to what they have been doing but they are being worked on. If we had laser counter systems everywhere that could shoot down shaheds for a dollar a shot we would be using them and saving the patriots only for counter ballistic missile. But we don’t, not yet at least.
