I am 30. I started dating a girl I grew up with at 16 then became a welder because “that’s where the money is at” it’s not I make 18 dollars an hour now and back then it was 14. My girlfriend then fiancee abandoned me to “find herself” at 22 and then at 27 expected me to take her and her kids in and support them while I’m living paycheck to paycheck as is. Worse is my parents tried to convince me to take her back and “be a real man”. I of course didn’t. I feel ripped off. If I knew this was how my life was going to turn out I’d have done hard drugs and died young.
