>>544895249I think the reason they say this is because every time people put too much power into the government (communism is one of them) it flops due to corruption.The contrary example you've provided is a work of fiction.However...In Dwarf Fortress, since they lack autonomy and rely on chain of command to do most things, they are inefficient without a lot of micro managing by a competant director. Without orders they do nothing. With orders they will continue to work even when needed elsewhere, because they were ordered to.It does draw parallels.
