The Hyundai Nexo can already travel 500 plus miles on hydrogen, and it's an SUV. They're safer than battery-electric and gasoline cars. Hydrogen vehicles will soon be able to go 1,000 miles and even 3,000. Hydrogen trucks already travel that far. Ditch the lithium battery bullshit and let's make hydrogen economy, one that's based on localisation and not giving money to sandniggers.

>>544897643Not an ad. I'm a BMW guy myself. We need to phase out gasoline cars and shitty EVs.Hydrogen fuel cells cars already does 400mph.
>>544897576Guess where the hydrogen comes from
Hydrogen is a retarded way to store energy

>>544897801I like Tacoma design.
>>544897925No major parts change in a hydrogen fuel cells car like ever. That's how smooth it is.
>>544897966That's a fucking hyundai, the most unreliable piece of shit ever known to the mankind. It's made entirely of chinese plastic.
Viritech Apricale is a hydrogen hypercar.
>>544898017Export hyundai is entirely different from their local chinese product. Look into it. Hyundai sucks ass but the new Nexo that's only in China is good.
Hyundai Universe fuel cell bus does 600 miles with full load. Simple design, faster refilling, cheaper production.
Hydrogen fuel cell is the main source of power in the most advanced submarine drone ever.
>>544897576Yes yes yes, that all fine and dandy but how will the elites control citizens movements by shutting off the grid similar to electric cars? No, no, no! This will never work!
>>544897576>10000 psiIt can also explode like 20kg of TNT.
>>544897576it all comes down to how much it costs to fill up. The efficiency comes into it as well, if you are powering an electric motor the efficiency is obviously going to be higher than powering an combustion engine - hybrid is a compromise. Yes the refuelling as per petrol or diesel is the one advantage, but at the end of the day it comes down to which is cheaper to run. It should be easy to work out how much it costs to produce hydrogen versus how much it costs to produce electric. The problem of course electric is already produced, already has a network. Hydrogen would have to replace gasoline production and you need to invest in the network to produce hydrogen and also deliver it to the customer. People can also recharge an EV at home
If it means more hilarious videos like the Brazilian that gets clobbered by a fling LP tank at a refueling station, I'm all for it.
>>544898325>droneyeh but not manned subs which run on diesel or nuclear. It seems really hydrogen is for niche areas which may be beneficial but for widespread use it is never going to work. If it was ever going to work it would have been adopted years ago, EV's are how it's going to go and they are improving year on year. The only thing really is the reliance on China. The areas that electric can't really touch are shipping and airlines. I don't really see hydrogen fuel cells for aircraft, maybe for ships.
>>544898388You can store hydrogen for centuries in the tanks by the way. It doesn't leak like the boomers say.
>>544898463It's engineered to not to. Doesn't blow up even when it's on fire or getting shot. It's also enclosed.
>>544897801All modern cars are amorphous blobs.
>>544897576Hydrogen is going to be used for commercial transportation like semi-trucks, trains, cargo ships, etc.Regular cars/SUV/Pickup Trucks will be EVs in the long run.
>>544897576If they're safer they're less CO2 efficient than gasoline SUVs or they are far less capable, and if they are not safer they are little Hindenburgs.DOA technology.
>>544898509Costs are significantly lower. Battery cars has battery production tied to it and even in the battery car charging station it requires expensive batteries that you need to change constantly. Hydrogen is simple. You don't even have to change any parts or have the efficiency of it go lower like the shitty battery cars does.
>>544898854>EVsHydrogen is EV. It's just it replaces temporary chemical batteries that needs to be in constant production to a permanent tank that you can store. Safer too.
>>544898856>HindenburgsAmbient air has significantly lower oxygen concentration for pure hydrogen to blow up ever. There's a reason hydrogen bombs need separate oxydizer.
>>544897576will never be reality for mass adoption simply because its easy to rig a fuel cell into a highly explosive bomb id think. cant have millions of those everywhere, would be chaos with all 5 of those people in society whod actually do it.tldr;hydrogen not like gas, it go booooom.
>>544899195The only issue is hydrogen is odorless and colourless when it burns. You don't even know what is burning. It's like magic but better.
>>544898928>costs are lowernot really. The infrastructure isn't there, the hydrogen has to be produced. What I could see is hydrogen filling stations replacing the gasoline ones. But they are simply not going to have the customer base, maybe heavy transport will use them due to being able to refill quickly. The efficiency is far far lower, they really are like gasoline for efficiency. The problem is they are converting and you get the energy losses from the conversion. Electric batteries are storing the electricity and there is no conversion, losses are heat.
>>544897760Water
>>544897576look mate, I've kinda studied the technical differences between the EVs and the hydrogen and the hydrogen is a good experiment, but besides that is kinda of a meme because it brings enormous complexityso - dont count on it
Lets just put something to bed. Transport, will never be cheaper. The end. So stop shilling that angle for a start
>>544899450>Watersure. but you need more energy to separate the hydrogen from the water and then even more so to store it not to mention the complex system that your car needs to carry for it, instead you can just charge your battery with said energy for separation and thats about it
>>544899526>but besides that is kinda of a meme because it brings enormous complexityIt's complex only when you account the hydrogen techs from 2010s. Things have changed entirely. Chinese University have figured out a way to make hydrogen from sea water with 99 percent efficiency.
>>544899583With the proper infrastructures, it could be easier to fill up your car with hydrogen.
>>544899583>but you need more energy to separate the hydrogen from the waterThat's electrolysis but there's way better way to separate hydrogen from water directly without electric to electric production. Thermolysis is a good one and there's lot more that's in development.
>>544899593hmm interesting but they can't make a hydrogen fuel cell with anything like that efficiency. I suppose anything is possible in lab conditions, but the reality in the real world is having to scale that up and actually do it. But that's the problem, electricity is needed to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen in water. Producing hydrogen isn't new, so it all comes down to costs. Using electricity to produce hydrogen and then converting that hydrogen into electricity to run an electric motor. If it were cheap, hydrogen would be used everywhere. But it can't ever be cheaper than electric because hydrogen needs electricity to for it to exist in the first place.
>>544899797>we need more timehmm, it isn't happening. EV's are what have been pencilled in, that is what is going to be the go-to thing for vehicles. Niche areas might use hydrogen, there might well be hydrogen fuel cell vehicles due to the refilling ability. They will however not be replacing EV's.
>>544899877Fuel cell efficiency is irrelevant because all it takes is 7 kg of hydrogen to move a big ass SUV for 500 miles. It's efficient enough.
>>544897576Quantum of Solace 2008 BondFord Hydrogen cars abound in movieThen something else happened in 2008hmmm
>>544900570>it doesn't matterthe amount is irrelevent if that amount costs more than simply recharging. So, what is lower in price when everything is taken into consideration. An EV where the major price is simply the battery - the electricity to charge it is already available and it costs whatever it does. Or a hydrogen fuel cell - that still has to be produced as well. Then there is the hydrogen that has to be produced, then it needs an infrastructure built to deliver it to the customer. There isn't going to pipelines filled with hydrogen running over countries. So it has to be delivered from the refineries - just like you do with gasoline. I can tell you now, hydrogen produced would be sold on the open market exactly the same as oil and gasoline are, it would all be controlled. Electricity not so much but you are still relying on it being delivered unless you have solar panels to produce electricity yourself. No one is going to be producing hydrogen themselves, there won't be any DIY hydrogen producing machines at home.
I produce electricity needed for EV myself, why on fuck would I want to pay jews more money and be dependent of them for the same. You will also spend more time fueling at hydrogen station than just charging at home.Hydrogen maybe makes sense for trucks, not for consumer cars
The problem with hydrogen will always be energy efficiency. If you want to make green hydrogen you have to generate the power then use that power to make the hydrogen. You have to compress that hydrogen to 700 bar then store it in a pressure vessel. (They last for 15 years btw then they need replacing). After that you turn the hydrogen back into electricity to power your car. During all those steps you lose some of. The energy you started with. Total efficiency currently is 30 to 40%. Compare that to a battery where you are looking at 80 to 90% efficiency. You need double or triple the power generation to make hydrogen work. Not that green hydrogen doesnt have a future, mostly will be used to make net zero fuels for aircraft, ships etc. This by converting feedstocks into fuel. Which requires a lot of hydrogen.
>>544901553The efficiency is quite bad, but you don't need to mine lithium and you can conveniently use the excess electrical capacities generated by renewable energy sources during summer and storms. If you view green hydrogen from the perspective of utilizing waste electricity, then suddenly it's not so inefficient after all
>>544901367>I produce electricity needed for EV myselfHow? With a diesel generator? Lmao
>>544897576problem is with very high pressure tanks and explosive nature of h2 - replacing h2 tanks on toyota mirai costs here more than a whole new car - and they have to be dismantled and retested after accidents... recertified after intervals... seems pretty high maintenance - as h2 will explode without any ignition just by mixing with oxygen in air - if tank or any plumbing leaks and thats not something strange after years on bumpy roads...
>>544903092>problem is with very high pressure tanks and explosive nature of h2 There's never been a major accident in Hydrogen cars ever.
We have actual video of ev cars exploding. Hydrogen is safer than that
>>544897576There's nowhere in the US to fill them up dummy.
>>544897576> More expensive to fill than battery electric> Can't charge at home (easily)> It can be filled up faster, but there is no way that is worth with modern battery developments, for normal use
>>544898087Soon to be copied and made by a dozen of Chinese automakers with less than ideal quality control. Look for the explosive, fiery results on the China show YouTube channel.
>>544898325I think the hydrogen is a component of the fuel cells.
>>544904107Absurd argument, scale up the amount of vehicles and there will always be accidents. Now take how safe an electric battery is in an accident versus how safe a hydrogen fuel cell that needs a high pressure tank which is filled with hydrogen? Are you suggesting there has never been an accident with high pressure tanks that hold hydrogen? What about versus a unpressured tank holding petrol or a pressure tank holding LPG? All those tanks need safety cut-offs. High pressure tanks rely on basically being bomb proof. So that is really the safety factor, that the tank cannot be reputured.
>>544904609>More expensive to fill than battery electricWe don't have infrastructure actually >>544904609>Can't charge at home (easily)I guess when hydrogen becomes mainstream it will be abundant in a way you don't need to home charge. It will actually power homes by generators.> It can be filled up faster, but there is no way that is worth with modern battery developments, for normal useBatteries should be in constant production that's the issue. Hydrogen is one time use and you just fill it up that's it.
>>544905808That won't happen.Hydrogen has a bunch of downsides. It will always be expensive to store and take care off.Batteries are progressing so fast, hydrogen will be niche at best (or for industrial shit, like tractors).
>>544897576>HyundaiSorry, I try to avoid giving money to K*reans .
>>544905808>It will actually power homes by generators.why would you create electricity via hydrogen which had to be produced via electricity in the first place? You are getting into the realms of free energy, 100% efficiency in producing something which is of course impossible. And if you already have the electricity, why would you use it to simply produce electricity as the end process?
