I have asked this many times, but what race are Malays considered? Any Malaysiabros able to answer? You get huge variety amongst the populace, and I'm talking about the Malay populace, not jeets or Chinese. You get some who look more Arabic, others more similar to Cambodians and Thais.I know that Malay was considered a race unto it's self when we were able to actually talk about race in the 1800s, but in the latter discussions Malays were grouped with the Oriental race along with other SEAs and the Japanese, Chinese and Koreans etc.Have a pic of one of their Kings/Sultans, who looks like a Samoan UFC fighter.

Samoans are Polynesian and speak a Polynesian language and Polynesia is next to Austronesia so they appear similar, but they are still different. You can tell by how they look and even how their languages sound. Polynesian languages sound like retarded Japanese whereas Austronesian like Tagalog or Malay sounds like how you would imagine a SEAmonkey would sound like.

>>544920165Polynesian is actually a sub-group of Austronesian. Malayic is the other sub-group and Philippine is the third. Indonesia isn't an ethnicity, they are Dutch Malays (meaning 'Sailors') related to the Coloureds in South Africa but for historical reasons they now have their own country and therefore became their own ethnicity.

Indonesians are not which is probably why they are Muslim. This is only really possible because they're on an archipelago in the middle of the ocean so didn't interact with many others, they are both mixed and inbred, but this archipelago is called Austronesia so we would just call them that.

They probably wouldn't identify as Asian although they do have Pacific Islander for them which falls under Asian. Hawaii is also Austronesian (Polynesian) which would be the Yank word for them. New Zealand is still the under colonial umbrella so they can get away with a lot more than the Philippines can. and Indonesia is a write-off because of Islam. Malaysia still has Singapore but they are also Muslim so it could go either way.

The sailing would have been from Bangladesh since they could hug the Burmese coast and Andaman island chains before reaching Aceh in Sumatra so the sailors would have been Bengali or Perso-Arab which today would be called Pakistan which is what Bangladesh was for 30 years.

Tamils are still one of the main ethnicities of Malaysia, some are Muslim, most are Hindu. In Malaysia the Indian component seems to have been separated from Malays whereas in Indonesia it has been assimilated like their name. The old name for the Chola Empire was Pallava which is also the British slang word for a big fucking mess.
