The brown hordes arrived. I don't have to tell you, but Argentina used to be more than 50% full Italian. Good Italians, too. Not the moolie looking ones. The other half was mostly Spanish with just a small tasteful amount of Indigenous. Then the browns came.

>Argentina was richer than imperial Germany and France
doubt
>>
>>544931393
argentina is out of the way. other countries, like america, caught up with argentina and eclipsed them and stole their market share.
>>
>>544931964
Why? You should try thinking about it. It might help.
>>
>>544932075
What companies did Argentina have? What did they sell?
Germany had Siemens, Thyssen, Krupp, build Cars, Zeppelins and so on
maybe Argentina had natural resources?
but I cant imagine much else

>What happened?
Capitalism happened.
>>
>>544931393
it was a country with barely any people and a shitload of natural resources per capita, anyone could make it as long as they were able to get good land, even then they still had a shitload of white poorfags and economic disparity since most people weren't landowners
southern Italians emigrated en masse trying to make it due to that, the one's that didn't make the cut for jew york, the worst kind of Italians to this day
>>544931862
that didn't happen until the 00s

Feels like sabotage, most likely by jews. We have everything a nation could posibly need to succeed and it still fails. Land, resources, 90-95 iq white people motivated to work hard and abide the law, working infrastructure, but somehow it's still impossible to succeed. It's depressing honestly so I don't bother thinking about it. It's just the way it's meant to be i guess.
>>
>>544932636
there is no graph
there is made up nonsense
no way Argentina was richer than Germany and France
>>
>>544932822
It is pretty much accurate, but it is per capita on a 10m population at the point Germany caught up to them in the depression era.
>>
>>544933816
I know what per capita is supposed to mean, and its obvious nonsense
>>
>>544932822
No I think the graph is correct. Just fewer people and more resources. They werent necessarily richer. Its like Botswana has the one of the highest GDP's in Africa. But there are something like 2 million people in Botswana sharing the a shit ton of diamonds.

Roll on the second world war and then the graph makes sense. What actually did happen is Argentina stopped importing Europeans. And the country collapsed. Just like Botswana will run out when the diamonds do.

imigrants + socialism
>>
>>544934031
You can easily search it just by googling 1920s Argentina gdp per capita and there are many articles about how wealthy they were. Britain was putting more investment into Argentina than it did Australia, and it is a giant blank slate of land with huge scope for farming, wine, leather and even oil at that point. If you go to Buenos Aires it is a wealthy looking city.
Obviously Germany had war debts and war recovery that is another factor, but per capita it was below Argentina.
>>
I bought some burger meat supposedly imported from Argentina and it fucking SUCKS
Weren't you guy good at producting meat at least? What the FUCK???
>>
>>544931393
Argentina's wealth was like India's, a few guys owned everything and the rest got water and bread
>>
>>544934297
google feeds off the same nonsense
youre just having a circle jerk here
France and Germany were industrial and scientific world powers with world class companies
no way Argentian was richer
>>
>>544934384
People keep posting this why the data shows a massive growth in the middle class to the point that nearly half of BA was classed as economically middle class even before Peronism.
>>544934500
No one is arguing Argentina is more scientifically advanced than Germany, but Germany had high education standards in part because they didn't have resources and you make up for that with value-added stuff. Argentina happened to have massive amounts of land and resources and a sub 10m population.
>>
Are you guys really poorer than Mexico? I mean I know your economy is shit but surely it's not THAT shit.
>>
>>544934766
Germany had massive quantities of coal and steel, that was what enabled our wars
no way, Argentina with its stupid farms an cattle herds was richer than us
>>
Argentinas wealth was based on selling beef and grain to European markets WW1 fucked that all up and half of the capital in the country was British and they took their ball and went home

so they were like the Saudis but instead of oil they had cows and crops
>>
>>544931393
probably jews
>>
>>544931393
they elected a trump-like dictator 80 years ago that poisoned the country with gibs for his followers and spent money the country didn't have. it's impossible to unfuck now. same is coming here. more than half the usa lives off of fraud and gibs for multiple generations. it's going to be a slow collapse, just like argentina.
>>
>>544934772
Just checked muh 2026 per capita and even being in the absolute shitter argie economy still is slightly richer than the mexishit one lmao

I mean you can keep denying it, but it is provable if you look it up. Its basically 8x smaller population with an 8x bigger landmass.

because they had farms and cattle herds?

Bro making money is making money if they can make more money off beef than you can making a ship "they won" don't take it personal besides it was just a flash in the pan moment for them
>>

There is nothing for you to be offended about over this. Argentina is massive, and has loads of resources, and exported them and by 1920 had a huge trade surplus. It is what it is.
>>
>dude, argentinian cattle herders were totally richer than this

Under the traditional 1990 purchasing-power benchmark used by Maddison, Argentina's historical GDP-per-capita level is around three times its level under the alternative multiple-benchmark method.

A classic example of the left-wing approach is Argentina.

After roughly 40 years of rapid economic growth in the 19th century and the early 20th century, the country came to be regarded as the southern analogue of the United States. It was often called exactly that: “the United States of Argentina.” It was believed that there were “the United States of America” in the north and “the United States of Argentina” in the south, and that these were the two poles of the Western Hemisphere attracting people, capital, investment, technology, and ideas. This development along parallel courses continued until the 1930s. Then what happened in Argentina was that new people came and said: “All right, enough. We grew very fast, but our wages are too low; they must be raised.” They embarked on populist, left-wing policies. They raised the minimum wage, added social security, and regulation. Economic growth rates, which had been 6–7% a year, fell. First to 3–4%, then to zero... The Argentine economy remained in this position, with small interruptions, for almost 70 years—until the beginning of the 21st century. Until the end of the 1950s, Argentina still managed to remain among the highly developed countries and to be richer than Spain, Portugal, and even Italy. However, populism did its work, and Argentina slid into the group of third-world countries. That is what the left does. Repeated attempts to break this trend, which took shape over the last three generations, have not yet succeeded.

Argentina was not very populated and has gorillonz of good land for many types of agriculture and cattle ranches. They didn't need to have leading sexy industries like making airplanes, electronics, nuclear plants, etc.
With their population density, just having ten cows per men and not completely fumbling their mining sector was enough to be competitive and have frist world material standards for those days. It would have stayed that way without further migrations (brownfiication plus masses of poor people, too many to just all become cowboys) and Peronist retards ruining everything.

The way the international monetary system works is if your country has anything of value the banks load you up with debt for stage 1, stage 2 is they devalue your currency so you can never repay the debt and as a side effect the savings of everyone in that country is wiped out and they now have to work for peanuts and international investors take everything of value and the locals produce it for practically nothing, and then in phase three they get pissed off so you have to put them down with a junta unless you can fool them into thinking they can somehow vote their way out of trouble lmao

They were to the UK what Cuba (which also had the same agro-export economic model) was to the US. Yet no one mentions about how "prosperous" Cuba was in the 1950s.
