Why are billionaires increasingly choosing to live in California? Both Texas and Florida have explicitly tried to lure billionaires away from California in recent years with tax incentives and other opportunities, but both have largely failed. What makes California, specifically, so appealing to the billionaire class?
>>544960204Cause Commiefornia has effectively disarmed their people. Texas has the ability to enact mob justice more effectively...and with the new laws that just passed the average person can now own short barrel rifles, sawed off shotguns and silencers...for whatever use they desire.
Hollywood and Silicon Valley make it too appealing combined with the climate.
>>544960655Yeah Texas is kinda ugly and boring as shit if you're not an outdoors type. CA is better equipped as a richfags playground.
when you're that level of rich you don't care enough about taxes to choose where you live based on them
>>544960204Probably almost entirely from asset valuation going up. Real estate tycoons in the state with the harshest development regulations. You didn't give a list of who they were
>>544960204Perfect weather + network effect of rich talented people wanting to live around other rich talented people.
>>544960204Because no one in california is smart enough to kill them
Because California and new York have the best restaurants, chefs, activities and environment for rich people. You got cosmopolitan rich people in New York and vineyard rich people in California. What's there in Texas?Billionaires don't give a fuck about Costco.
Weather's good. That's it. Texas will randomly freeze. Florida will randomly flood. You pick a good spot in California, and the worst you'll have to worry about is maybe an earthquake.
>>544960204It's corrupt, has nice weather, and the rich have plenty of their own bases of operation there.
>>544961058Looked it up. entirely people who already lived in California having their valuations going up. This thread was just as retarded as I thought.
>>544960204Billionaires tend to have multiple homes in multiple cities and countries. Owning a vacation house in California is probably pretty common for extremely wealthy people but it doesn’t mean they live there full time.
