What yall niggas planning to work when AI takes your job (next year, most likely)? For me it will probably be fixing cars
Is it hard to learn cars?
>>545013662yikes meltdown
>>545013662Is that a cylinder of an engine? What the fuck happened to it?
>>545013662Stock shelves at a grocery store. I haven't done it in 20 years, but it seems like it's basically unchanged.
>>545013734That's Japanese cars for youWhen you tune them, they blow upUnlike BMWs which have incredible tuning potential
>>545013704NoWhat's hard is usually working on rusty cars
>>545013734classic detonation. (gas firing before cylinder is finished compression stroke)
>>545013791And obviously clients who come and tell you, this part is a problem, that part is a problem and then you discover the problem is something completely unrelated and then they come to argue with you. And in that case it's good to have a good boss who gives them the key of their car and tells them then go fix it yourself
>>545013768if nips didn't hot tune (flame map) their cars they wouldn't have to replace valves and pistons every 150miles
>>545013704Working on cars is easy. Diagnosing cars is a bit more nuanced.Any idiot can rip a part out of a car. Sometimes there's some skill in procedure, especially with more modern cars. But being able to accurately diagnose the issue is where you make your money.T. No longer a mechanic because the money wasn't good enough. I diagnose industrial equipment now.
>>545013798it dropped a valve into the engine you retard.
>>545013662Probably gonna suck some d
Continue to be unemployed but armed with an excuse
>>545013892KekI mean, sorry for your loss
>>545013662
>>545013891I dropped a valve inside your mother ass
>>545013704No. Mechanics are retards. If you understand basic systems and how to use a power tool, you'll be fine. Tools are expensive though.
>>545013662I've been studying really hard to be better at my job. I think I'll sell my services until they're worth nothing. Even if I'm not hired for the job I'm aiming for, I'll still become a bit better than I was before. And you?
>>545013798How would that result in something shooting through the block?
>>545013704Not like it used to be. My audi is like a puzzle box to take apart
>>545013981flux capacitor issue
>>545013768>European fellating European industry Nice to see Euro solidarity
>>545014005What kind audi? Is b7 s4 reliable?
>>545013662I could go back to car repair, fabrication, manufacturing, retail management. Or forward further in the arts, installations, restoration, hot glass and fine metal work. Agriculture is also an option I am poking in. There are a lot of emerging opportunities, keep thinking and looking.
>>545013662For me it will probably be tuning and deploying AI model for Jews to steal more jobs from the goyim who support the Kiev's regime.
>>545013662AI will never be able to take my job. I'm a professional full time alcoholic neet.
life on earth was probably seeded by aliens who designed different types of humans. some humans just get joy from repairing mechanical stuff. some humans are totally worthless and can just talk, so they become talking heads, podcasters, etc. some are warriors who like to kill. i think once you figure out what you like and do it, it won't feel like working. obviously Ai is gonna come for the tech support jobs first and already has.i still have to talk to someone if i need to change my cellphone service so they haven't figured out how to design the Ai voice solution yet.
never in my life did I see a more bleaker future than the one facing us.no wonder mass shootings have gone up so much.
>>545013662You won't be able to. They will have ai that prevents home repairs and self automotive repairs. You will be required to call the dealership
>>545014116Ai is programmed to be anti-racist, so eventually if given too much power it'll lend out billions to random worthless unemployed niggers and scammers, repeating the 2007-2008 crisis again. or some indian will figure out some loophole and totally scam the Ai in one shot before it's patched.
>>545014083it's been really reliable.
>>545013662Programming AI to fix cars.
>>545014150It's over
>>545013662gonna get a rich husband... oh wait
>>545014150>You will be requiredWhat is a hack?
>>545013662Im already a boat builder, it won't be untill robotics are highly advanced and affordable that my job is gone. I hate my job, and unfortunately I might be one of the last to be forced onto UBI.
>>545013662We are already moving away from cars as you know it pal. Not a day goes by that I don't see someone on an ebike or electric scooter in a town that isn't really walkable. We are going to see more tesla cybercabs and less car ownership. Most new cars will be electric as well. The future is grim. The silver lining is that you wont see mexicans hauling quikcrete bags to the ceiling of their tahoe with blown struts and no car insurance while they do 40 on the highway. You wont really need a car though anyways. You won't be going anywhere.
>>545014783All the displaced wagies are going to become boat builders and drive your wages down. /itsover
>>545013662i will never forgive subaru for going to the fully open deck block, even on the ej207, when they had an elder god tier closed deck 2.0 and 2.2 from almost a decade earlier. bla bla expensive pressure casting, only needs 280ps - fuck you. mitsu, neesan, probs toyota all had a rock hard cast iron unit, and you give us this bendy bobber. granted that failure mode is unlikely caused by bore shift, (which came first, the melted piston or the lifted head?) once you're well past dealing with shit like op image, you can go for way more fun with the better, earlier blocks. that said, all will be forgiven if they bring back the eg33 they've been tinkering with for that racing series using the hot h in japan.
>>545013662I work on sensors and researching their properties and fabrication methods. I would love if AI could help me but so far nothing. It led me on a week long chase for a supposed perfect way to measure noise in my system which when I looked it up was for effects on a entirely different time scale than what I had. I had hoped that at least it could write simulation software for me but nope it also fails there so I still have to rely on windows and comsol when I just want to use my linux pc.
>>545013704Everything that is 10 years or younger is basically special tools, electronic devices and OBD diagnosis tool. Also everything is crammed in. They are designed for being repaired in a professional shop.
>>545013662jobs aren't going to be taken as such, they will just become lower paid and more demeaning than they already are. The end goal is to turn you into a generic slave class remember?
>>545014990You have to pay to get a half reliable model. Realized it when I talked to a friend who pays for Claude recently.
>>545013662A little JB weld and that piston's good as new.
>>545013709>catastrophic piston failure only in bulgaria
>>545013734I reckon catastrophic turbo failure
>>545013768bullshit. bmw's are mid at at best. constant parts replacement is always required. the only thing good about a bmw is the chassis designt. former M3 owner. never owning one of these kraut meme cars again
I love it when a valves breaks off and mangles a piston up like that, its pure art.
>>545013662I'm a professional crackhead throttler. I basically am essential for society to function.
>>545013662I'm a rapist, how will AI take my job?
>>545013704no but trains is a hard job
>>545013662Does it even make sense to learn a trade job?Demand for every work will drop as people won't be able to afford it.Supply will grow because everyone losing there job will look for a trade job.
Can Americans even afford a BMW?
>>545016054Cars like these get sold around here with the classic: “One owner, grandma only drove it to the shops and back.”
>>545013662leech off my rich parents
>>545013662I'm already a mechanic so I'll probably keep doing that although all the unemployed white collars will move into trades which will double the labor pool and collapse wages. Working class is about to get fucked harder than ever before.>>545013952This is mostly true.
>>545013662bros i cant work real jobs i cant get disability and ai is going to take all the nothingburger jobs i qualify for since theyre ezpz anons what do i do do i just start doing crimes? or blow my shit smooth off i really dont wanna live on the streets again kek
>>545013734Looks like cylinder 3 on a boxer. possibly a Subaru. The exhaust valve on 3 has an issue, due to the routing of the coolant in the engine, where Cylinder 3, exhaust, gets too hot and either the stem eventually warps or catastrophic failure, like here, where the valve started slapping the cylinder head on the up stroke, is my guess. From repeated over heat cycling.
>>545016013it's called denial nobody's safe and there's no escape
>>545013662Dont care im a carpenter And because skilled tradespeople are already in short supply in Germany I am paid handsomely
>>545013768
>>545013704No. Tradies are for the most part stupid and uneducated yet make a good money in this economy. Being a car mechanic is the easiest of them all. Only time it gets "hard" (for them) is when electronics are at play.I still don't understand why smart but jobless people aren't switching to the trades. It's not hard to learn, it's just tiring, there's plenty of work and you'd outshine the brain damaged retards by simply knowing what is going on. You'd also break your back a lot less than them. And it would be a breath of fresh air to deal with nicer nerd type people instead of either criminals or Idiocracy tier retards.
>>545013817>pipo problemsdon't you have a pipe wrench to sort those out?
>>545013662Can ai suck dick yet?
>>545013734Based on how chewed up the top of the piston is the damage is clearly from the valves smacking into the top of the piston. Given that's an EJ I would have guessed it was from the timing belt going but then we'd see similar damage on the other piston in the shot.
>>545013662> Chatbots can't even make a profit> THEY WILL TAKE YOUR HECKING JOBI hate this shilling.
>>545013768bread
>>545017118thats not even the worst thing. the cooling system is 50% plastic, including the side of the radiator where you check the water level. its the shittiest engine ever designed
>>545017484>plastic cooling system partscheck out what happens when a plastic water pump fails when driven hard on the ring. older audi, passenger lap with misha driving. spectacular save.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9Ap12SkVxM
>>545013662job?
>>545013662I wish AI takes over the desk part of job, that would make my day easyer by half
>>545013662>>545016013Finally a non-retard ITT, nobody remembers 2008 when alot of white collar daycare jobs got cut, tradies got fucking slaughtered. For like 6 years tradies got raped and in 2015-16 led to the rise of MAGA bc the top nigger didnt do shit to help. Turns out white collar fags are the ones that fund tradies without them there is no tax money for public works and there is no money for private works. Every newer car is having parts needing to be programmed in which only dealer or licensed shops can do. Which means paying licensing fees dealer shops dont have to. The jewish run economy is more and more turning into a complete rape-fest.
>>545013834>if nips didn't hot tuneTheir cars wouldn't budge bc of tiny displacement.American V8 on the other hand will make enough power from idle with tons to spare mid to high rpm even with shitty tunning. No replacement for dispalcement.
>>545013662there will be excess cars when the adult-daycare economy collapses, they will probably end up with a regulated destruction policy like japan had, where older vehicles are unregisterable and subsequently destroyed simply to force the owner to buy a new one.
>>545018275>Turns out white collar fags are the ones that fund tradies without them there is no tax money for public works and there is no money for private workSounds like a cope.Everyone needs to have housework done every once in a while where as White collar jobs are mostly a meme.
>>545013662Duck hunter, pine tree bark bread maker, survivorman
>>545018275Yep. As a former tech worker and now NEET, I'm coming to the realization that I'm better off not switching industry because it will be equally fucked after years of investment in an apprenticeship.I'm taking welfare now knowing well that this is my early retirement, because soon shit will be quite fucked.
Land surveying
>>545013662>when AI takes your jobthat's gonna take awhile for my positionit's all hands all day, the most random weird shit, and almost all the tools that exist
>>545016096>“One owner, grandma only drove it to the shops and back.”That's actually bad for the car moreso if it's a diesel and has that shitty egr system
>>545013662someone dropped a valve
Majority of you are going to prison. Your rights are gone.
>>545018490Cope? Nigger you are coping thinking broke people are going to spend nonexistant money to repair shit a youtube video can help them fix. We know white collar is a meme they have been a meme since automated agriculture its fucking accounting retard somebody has to be the paypig. Where else is the money going to come from? Other tradies? So what you are going to pass around the same 20k? This isnt nvidia and openai nigger.
>>545013734>What the fuck happened to it?Divided by zero.
>>545018621Whats funny is on the 20th year after 2007 the Ai bubble has all these spending commitments that come due. Just like when in 2007 all that variable rate mortgage interest kicked into 5-10%. Just a bunch of jews, literally, behind this bubble and went it pops indians will make up the replacement for tech workers. Also when data centers get fucked(one recently missed a rent payment) all those tradies are going to get raped.
>>545013662Shilling AI
>>545013662I do leather working as a side gig.
Start terrorizing jobs with AI or AI's doing jobs
>>545013662I left my cushy electricity job from the governement to become a gunsmith, it is quite comfy.
>>545014116how to not get sanctioned? you fake mental illness?
>>545013768BMW is the worst vehicle in the entire world
>>545013891looks like it. would have loved to hear the sound this made. i had a connecting rod bearing dissolve once while going about 120mph. i'll never forget.
>>545016588Crimes obv
I work in a hospital laboratory. I will probably finish out the next 20 years in my career without ai replacing me.
>>545013662Learn to fix electric cars. Your skill will become highly in demand over the next 10 years.Don't ask me how I know this.
>>545022225I take it back. Ai means african immigrants. They are taking over irish hospitals.
>>545013942Is the neet wrapped in a blanket supposed to be a positive or negative spin? It looks like a swaddled baby.
What's the point getting into car repairs when the eu will ltierally tax you 5000€ a month for driving an ICE car in 2030 and all you can buy is throwaway electric cars. They are already closing so many gas stations here, my city went from like 10 to 3.
>>545013704You NEED to buy a '98 CRV and fix the problems it has as it has them. If you do this, you will slowly learn about cars. It'll take years and you'll need to do some reading online as well as watch YouTube videos but you'll know more than I'm assuming you do now. Modern cars are a different thing altogether. They have so many sensors and everything is hooked to a computer (your pcm or tcm or ecm) or whatever and you have to have special computers to hook it up and find out what's going on with it. If you're just wanting to learn the basics, I'd get an older car. But yes, it's worth it and it's something every red blooded American man needs to know. I bet well over half of the men over 18 in America can't change a tire. It's a fucking disgrace
>>545013662impressive. OP image, this is the downside fo the modern efficiency engine. The full mechanical interference setup guarantees a thing like a simple loss of a timing belt/chain, causes the motor parts to explode like that. Is that mechanical interference to the piston in the picture?
>>545013952>No. Mechanics are retards. If you understand basic systems and how to use a power tool, you'll be fine.two kinds of mechanics. parts changers, typically what comes out of so called mechanical degree programs. They're okay working on the vehicle they're trained on, IE doing what the computer says to do at the big shop. But "real" mechanics can diagnose what the computer can't. I've watched the older high end genius mechanic, be brought the "nightmare" no other high end mechanic in town couldn't diagnose. he had it running like new a couple days later. I hung around with 3 or 4 guys like this my whole life, it rubbed off on me now.
>>545013662Did someone try to start their car with an explosive or something?
>>545015426>A little JB weld and that piston's good as new.top KEK
>>545013734A bad fuel injector can do this.
>>545013768>Bulgarian>Fixing cars...You are stealing them!I saw you motherfucker!
>>545013662I think there is a valve issue here, just throw some seafoam in it and call it a day.
>>545013662Handyman and tinker. Scrapping for scrap and reclamation of old machines that are mechanical but not digital. Fix old shit, sell it. Farm spices.
>>545013734"Threw a valve" is, I believe, the term for it. One of the above replies is very specific and probably authoritative.
