Either by design or by accident I feel that the more an individual interacts with society and immerses into it, the more they start to care about or prioritize trivial things over larger issues. I think that something about this society sabotages individuals mental and spiritual growth. By spiritual I merely mean the personal journey of finding out for yourself what matters and what you want to do with your time. there were many many obvious things in life I didn’t realize until I simply had time alone to think and ponder certain things. And in college or at work no one has much free energy or time to think about important concepts that will seem self evident later as they age. I suppose what I’m saying is I think society keeps people in a sort of sabotaged and underdeveloped state by keeping them so distracted by so much. And when this effects everyone it effects society. And by that I mean every aspect of society feels different because everyone is operating on a lower level.
