Make that 10 years. Impossible to aim accurately. It was just for moral bombing which doesn't work as proven many times until today as seen in Ukraine.

The Messerschmitt Me 262 was real and the first fighter jet. Outclassing all the fighter jets of the alliance, being twice as fast as other fighters of the time, it had the real potential of bringing air supremacy to the axis.

Hitler himself, a British undercover agent one would say, shut down the program asking for an useless jet-powered bomber that was never developed in time.

Same with nukes, it was Hitler himself to send all the relevant scientists to the US or to shut down their funds

You're retarded, the V-1 has no shared design lineage with the V-2. They aren't related and share no technology nor even operational premises.
>>
>>545018118
Hitler was expecting a full scale German partisan mobilization like the Soviets did after he died

>>545018061
It's flight hours were ridiculous.
>The twin turbojet engines suffered from severe material shortages (lack of high-grade nickel and cobalt), giving each engine a service life of only 10 to 25 flight hours before requiring major overhaul or replacement and only 25-90 minutes per flight due to high fuel usage.

It was in it easrly experimental stage.
>>
>>545018285
That's crap

I'm talking about the concept, for which the V-1 gave birth to the V-2.

They routinely "lied" about V1 rockets to trick the German spies into thinking they'd miss their targets. I think V2 was mostly to keep panic down in the first months. Funnily enough almost 10x more died making the rockets than those hit by them but I guess Germany used a lot of forced labor. Considering the V2 campaign was mostly one of terror it doesn't surprise me if they tried to fight that.

>>545017612
An example of one of the very few occations when Jews have done honest labor.

The worst part was the inability of the luftwafe to demonstrate any tangible resistance towards the raids at the end.
>>
>>545017612

Erektion.
>>
>>545017849
No, you got it backward, the V1 was never piloted, but at the end of the war there were attempts to create a cheep and dispostable fighter plane out of it. Of course making a piloted V1 was also considered but it never got farther than being an idea.
>>
>>545018061
A fast bomber could have penetrated allied air defenses and stuck early warning radar sites and struck bombers on the ground.
By the time Allies would have gotten their planes in the air a jet would have already be out of their reach.
Such a dumb idea.
Much smarter to fight bombers when they are already over your cities.
Hitler was a dumb dumb.
>>
>>545018714
Well he was mistaken.
Germans invented it. Designed it.
Jews worked on the assembly line.
>>
Hitler opposed suicide attacks for ideological reasons. Germans were not expendable cannon meat. That was bolshevic military doctrine, not nazism.
Near the end of the war a unit of the Luftwaffe was formed with pilots that were trained to ram enemy bombers, but it technically wasn't suicide as they were supposed to bail out after ramming.
I don't think they ever saw action though.
>>
>>545018802
German military doctrine was based on Clausewitz and he despised "partisans".
Civilians were supposed to be bystanders in war, not participants.

the 1920's were the end for america academics knowing anything at all. thats why academics to this day think basic quantum mechanics is cutting edge
>>
>>545018802
Think critically for a moment. Suppose there was actually a German resistance movement post war. Would it have been in the interests of either the Western Allies or the Soviets to make it known, and inevitably spread the idea with that? Would it not have conflicted with their propaganda message of "liberating" Germany? Would they not have had the tools to entirely suppress knowledge of its existence with their total control over media? Would it not be in every victorius party's best interest to keep knowledge historical evidence of such a movement buried, classified, or preferably destroyed?

Resistance movements without help from a foreign state are doomed ot fail and won't ever account for much, but that doesn't mean they can't try or that they never existed. We know however that if they did exist, their enemies would try their best to keep it secret.
>>
>>545018329
No, the V-2 was not inspired in concept by the V-1. They have completely different origins and design lineage. There is no relation WHAT SO EVER. The Aggregat program was already underway before the V-1 was even conceived.

You're just an idiot who assumed they must be the same because the government gave them both the same letter.
>>
>>545019220
Wow, my post flew way passed your flouridated brain and mercury/lead filled skull didn't it?

Never mind!
>>
The problem with the V-2 was its tiny payload. It wasn't worth the effort to build them for the small damage they caused.
Germans had ballistic missiles and Americans had nukes and it was only postwar that the two were put together to produce a weapon of real value.
>>
>>545018230
There was also V-3 which was a "supergun" type weapon that would have accelerated projectiles to very high speeds enabling London to be shelled from bases in Germany.
However it was impossible to hide these installations from the RAF and they were all destroyed before any shots could be fired.
>>
>>545018061
>Hitler himself, a British undercover agent one would say, shut down the program
It was complacency not treason. After the swift victories of 1939-40 there was (it was believed) no need for expensive new weapons. The old weapons worked fine.
And it wasn't just nuclear research that was shut down. A bunch of other programs were abandoned or allowed to idle after 1940 -- jet aircraft, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, electric u-boats, assault rifles -- some of these things had been in development since 1930s but they finally only appeared in service in 1944 or 1945, too late to make a difference.
>>
>>545019298
The V-2 was conceived before the V-1. YOU ARE RETARDED.
>>
>>545019091
I think most in the west were just happy to surrender to Americans and not Russians desu
>>
>>545019019
There's a reason for that
>>
>>545019220
The V1 was essentially an unmanned drone with a ramjet-adjacent air-breathing motor.
The V2 (A4) was a full-fledged ballistic missile with a suborbital trajectory - probably the first human-made thing that reached "space" (as defined by 100km of height).
>>
>>545017521
Space travel would never have been possible if the Germans didn't invent rockets.
>>
>>545018911
>Jews worked on the assembly line.
hence the accuracy
>>
>>545019566
I’m super convinced that modern war play the economic role of finalize theoretical and practically uneconomic technology, such as AI today, and bring it to production and consumer markets. It creates the kind of demand and dynamics to allow for that. As such, I’m not surprised that the war ended as soon as all these tech started landing on the battlefield. Same thing happened with cars, chemistry and political science during World War I.

The same will happen with independent offline humanoid robots powered by local models and fourth generation nuclear reactors. We need them to be refined to kill people first, once they reach perfection they will be redeployed for civilian purposes.

yes? it was literally a terror campaign, which means, for 2 whole entire months, it was failing.

anyways what are you gonna tell them

>diverting valuable fuel, metal, materials and explosives
>to attack a location literally thousands of miles away from any front where this would be useful
>to uh...blow up a few buildings
