Gold, AZO and M-DISC optical discs offer advantages for long-term offline archives: no onboard electronics to fail, no HDD motors or heads to break, and no SSD electrical charge to leak away. Write-once discs resist accidental overwriting and ransomware alteration; a failed reader can be replaced separately.

Canada’s CCI estimates 20–50 years for AZO/silver-alloy CD-Rs, 50–100 for gold DVD-Rs and over 100 for gold/phthalocyanine CD-Rs. Gold resists corrosion. M-DISCs are designed to last hundreds of years or longer.
DISTRIBUTED RISK
DECENTRALIZED STORAGE
If it's worth archiving...
And anyways:

HDDs risk mechanical failure and shock damage; SSDs face write wear, controller failure and unpowered data loss. Disc longevity still depends on quality, storage and compatible readers.
Etc.

Optical Supremacy:
- Offline. Yours. Distributed Risk! Shiny. No login, subscription, or cloud landlord.
- 3-2-1? More like 30-2-1! Thirty discs, two formats, one smug archivist. (Fine: keep separate copies in separate places.)
- AZO DVD-R: a sensible archive staple. General estimates for dye-based recordable media: 20–50 years.
- Gold archival DVD-R: estimated 50–100 years under proper storage.
- M-DISC DVD: inorganic recording layer; maker claims up to 1,000 years.
- Burning tip: use a reliable burner, quality media, and the slowest burn speed the drive supports; verify the finished disc.
- Cassette tapes: expensive and bothersome to constantly be fixing snapped tapes. Limited amount of data storage.
- Records: glorious for 'rolling tray' with image but heavy, scratch-prone, and every play adds wear. Moving a serious collection is a heroic side quest.
- Paltry cons: 4.7 GB per single-layer DVD; needs a drive (DONT FORGET TO STOCK UP! THIS IS YR 'BOTTLENECK'!!!); scratches are rude; you must label the things.
- Disc rot? Possible. Inevitable? No. Store cool, dry, dark, and handle by the edges.

Do yourself a favor. I had 20 TBs go belly up after one cross-country move. All my back ups of back ups. SSDs *and* HDDs! 20 TBs!
*sobs hoarsely*
DONT BE ME. Don't lose 10 years of your life!
Due to greed and wanting TBs over Longevity.
HDDs and SSDs and etc (20TBs was a lot, at the time!)
Enjoy good music! Enjoy good films! Enjoy Life?

"The Cocteau Trilogy (commonly known as The Orphic Trilogy) is a series of three surrealist French films written and directed by legendary avant-garde artist, poet, and filmmaker Jean Cocteau.
Spanning three decades, the trilogy uses the Greek myth of Orpheus—the musician who travels to the underworld to rescue his love—to explore Cocteau's central artistic themes: mortality, poetry, obsession, memory, and the boundary between reality and imagination."

"4. Practical Application
Understanding Leary's Circumplex allows individuals to break unproductive interaction cycles:
• Breaking Conflict: When faced with hostile dominance (aggression), natural reaction is hostile submissiveness or hostile dominance, escalating the fight. By deliberately choosing friendly dominance (calm, firm leadership), you can pull the other person into a collaborative posture."

A great movie marred only by the appearance of 90s icon (and self avowed pedophile if I remember correctly) William S Burroughs.
Other than that though, imo, a classic Portland flick. (back before this place got taken over by normies, 'rich cunts', CA gangsters and assorted, other shitheads.) The author of the book though, that the movie was based upon, was quite a character as well and wrote many more books that for some reason arent available on any of the usual channels.
And, ofc, WSB's *son*, sad, cursed thing that he was, sexually assaulted, some say, by Ginsberg, was a better 'drug aficionado' writer! Many people do not know he exists, and so I mention him here.
To lay siege to Burroughs Sr. (the pedo) some more, I have yet to lay eyeballs upon a single WSB book that was remotely 'readable' all the way through! Seems like paranoid gibberish, for the most part. Only exception was Hippos Boiled in Their Tanks, becuz: cowritten w Kerouac!)
But anyways...good eyes, anon.
Matt Dillon is classic. That film, I agree, is a good one. Comfy!

Because it's filled with jew bots who's goal is just that... to demoralize (you). Couple that with the indian hoard who's goal is identical, except for them it's a delusional cope. Their women could never get me as hard as that shark nose Shapiro sister, for example. Howard Stern, Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld have made me laugh countless times. There's just nothing any indian could ever do to redeem itself besides jumping in front of a train or burning india to the ground for the good of all mankind, but that's not going to happen. I only lurk here these days, taking the time to make the occasional post only to criticize what this place has become... a collective of inferior creatures all either trying to cope with my superiority or control us through subversion.

hard to argue with, though of course, if you will permit me:
Seinfeld and Larry David only seem funny because they nepotismed away all other alternatives (of the goyish variety). And, must be said for the sake of truth here, and what else are we after if not that, on this anonymous board?, the Indians weren't desparaged and hated, in fact were welcomed, here, ...up until the hang-gliding attack by Palestine against Israel (lulzy!) and the related public Indian alliance with Israel (against their shared enemy, the Muslim Menace!)
Yes, they frolic in feces and guzzle cow urine, not really appetizing to 99.99% of humanity, at all, and many of their ..commoners, are seemingly trapped in some weird pre-Enlightenment, pre-Industrial hellscape of savage poverty, BUT...their religious tects are fairly based and interesting, regardless of the actual, day-to-day cliff jumping, shit eating etc. lol
And, I have seen more than one "10" pajeeta in my time. I dunno, not to be an overly argumentative cunt here but...I sorta feel bad for them. The ones that stay in their country or only come here to visit, that is.
But thats the nature of my malady, to always look for the sometimes non existent redeeming qualities of underdogs and outsiders.

etc
Thank you for the bump and high quality thoughts.
We are making progress, no?
10 years ago, if you said, "Jews run the West" or even, "Jews run Hollywood", no one knew what the hell you were talking about! I even remember Seinfeld saying, "ok, we can have this conversation" when the red pill about Jewish nepotism (and etc) was just breaking out among the normies! Seinfeld! lol
Of course, he then backtracked and said, "and the conversation is this, I support Israel!" ..or, words to that immediate effect! Crazy times, huh? Even Andrew Anglin, a wiley and twisty character but seemingly stalwart friend in hard time of White people, seemed appreciative! Said something like, "thats all I really wanted"?

You know, another thing I'd like to mention is simply this:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0092656611000912
>Abstract
>Black individuals have been found to report the highest levels of self-esteem of any racial group in the United States. The purpose of the present research was to examine whether Black individuals also report higher levels of narcissism than White individuals. Study 1 (N = 367) found that Black individuals reported higher levels of narcissism than White individuals even when controlling for gender, self-esteem level, and socially desirable response tendencies. Study 2 (N = 967) and Study 3 (N = 315) found similar results such that Black individuals reported higher levels of narcissism than White individuals on the narcissism measures that captured less pathological facets of this construct. Study 3 also included indicators of psychological adjustment and found that the pathological aspects of narcissism were more strongly associated with maladjustment for Black individuals than for White individuals. The implications of these results for understanding the Black self-esteem advantage are discussed.

lol
Symptoms
Symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder and how severe they are can vary. People with the disorder can:

Have an unreasonably high sense of self-importance and require constant, excessive admiration.
Feel that they deserve privileges and special treatment.
Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements.
Make achievements and talents seem bigger than they are.
Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate.
Expect special favors and expect other people to do what they want without questioning them.
Take advantage of others to get what they want.
Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others.

its just western occultism for the masses
thats one hell of a phenibut supply. if you want a nice gaba fix you can buy gaba capsules at the store, just open up the caps and let it absorb sublingually. you can also burn and inhale, directly or passively, frankincense, which is a gaba agonist. the frankincense tears are a bit more expensive though.
and you cant beat an epsom salt bath. magnesium deficiency can cause anxiety. the bath is the best way to get it, the pills make you shit your pants, and even the ones that claim not to, do it too, and you cant get a therapeutic dose that way anyways. best to do it transdermally. ocean works well too, if you put seawater in a bathtub, its the equivalent of 5 pounds of magnesium in the water. even breathing the air off the ocean lets you absorb it through your lungs.
if you have anxiety problems, the issue is most likely not a "you" problem, its something biological happening. changing your thinking doesn't do anything. if it did psychologists and therapists wouldn't have jobs.
peterson is living proof that his profession is a sham. he was depressed and anxious his whole life and then it was cured by diet. not the hours and hours of therapy and navel gazing that he still not only recommends, but charges people money for. he taught future psychologists at one of the most prestigious universities in the country. he had access to the cutting edge discoveries and treatments and drugs, yet none of them helped him at all.
think again about trusting someone like that.

its about taking ownership of media and essentially stealing media from the musicians.
i literally had 20 TBs (back when that was a lot) of HDDs and SSDs all brick on me during one long cross-country move. I'm trying to help others avoid that heartache. 3 - 2 -1 . Back up important media to optical discs, which last decades.

## THE PROBLEM

- **Nietzsche — nihilism**
- Inherited values lose their authority, but no new values feel convincing yet.
- The question: *How do I live when the old answers no longer work?*

- **Kierkegaard — anxiety, despair, God**
- Freedom opens up many possibilities—and the burden of choosing who to become.
- Despair can mean being cut off from yourself: refusing or failing to become the person you are.

- **Sartre — freedom, the Other, bad faith**
- Other people look at us, interpret us, and can reduce us to a role or label.
- **Bad faith** is pretending we are only our job, reputation, circumstances, or social identity, so we can avoid facing our freedom to choose.

- **R.D. Laing — interpersonal reality and the divided self**
- Relationships can make people doubt their own experience and adapt to what others seem to require.
- A split can form between the self we experience privately and the self we believe we must present.

- **Erving Goffman — social performance**
- Everyday life involves roles, audiences, “frontstage” behavior, and more private “backstage” selves.
- Performing a role is part of social life; the trouble comes when the performance takes over our sense of who we are.

- **Michel Foucault — internalized surveillance**
- Power works through institutions, norms, categories, examinations, and judgments.
- We can absorb those standards and begin monitoring and correcting ourselves, even when no one is watching.
>>
>>545065482
## THE ESCAPE / TRANSFORMATION

- **Thoreau — deliberate simplicity and nature**
- Not simply “run away from society.” Reduce the unnecessary demands of life so you can see what matters.
- *Walden* is an experiment in attention, independence, nature, reading, work, and deliberate living.
- His withdrawal is a way to clarify how society works and what a person actually needs—not a demand to disappear forever.

- **Emerson — self-reliance**
- Treat your own experience and judgment as meaningful sources of knowledge.
- Don’t let the crowd’s approval become the final measure of what is true or worthwhile.

- **Goethe — cultivation**
- Develop your capacities through experience, work, relationships, learning, and mistakes.
- Becoming yourself is an ongoing process of growth, not finding a finished identity hidden inside you.

- **Kierkegaard — become yourself**
- Take personal responsibility for your choices instead of dissolving into the crowd.
- Becoming a self means living your commitments inwardly and seriously; for Kierkegaard, this ultimately involves a relationship with God.

- **Jung — individuation**
- Become more whole by recognizing and integrating parts of yourself you have ignored, hidden, or rejected.
- The aim is not to become socially acceptable, but to become less ruled by a narrow public persona.

- **Nietzsche — self-overcoming and creation**
- Don’t stop at rejecting inherited values; create values and ways of living that you can affirm.
- Transform difficulty and limitation into material for growth, expression, and action.
>>
>>545065482
- **Oscar Wilde — aesthetic self-creation**
- Treat personality, style, taste, conversation, friendship, and beauty as parts of making a life.
- Art and aesthetic experience can help us shape how we live, not just decorate life from the outside.

- **William James — chosen commitment and religious experience**
- Sometimes we must act before certainty is available; our commitments can help make a way of life real.
- Religious and mystical experiences matter partly because of how they change a person’s outlook and conduct.

- **Martin Buber — genuine encounter**
- Meet another person as a whole person, rather than treating them as a role, tool, audience, or obstacle.
- Freedom doesn’t have to mean isolation: genuine relationship can help us become more fully ourselves.

- **A useful verb sequence**
- **Thoreau:** simplify and clarify
- **Emerson:** trust your judgment
- **Goethe:** cultivate your capacities
- **Kierkegaard:** choose and become
- **Jung:** integrate
- **Nietzsche:** overcome and create
- **Wilde:** shape a life aesthetically
- **James:** commit and live it
- **Buber:** meet others genuinely

## THE EXISTENTIAL / HUMANISTIC BRIDGE

- **Rollo May — courage, anxiety, and creativity**
- Anxiety is part of facing uncertainty and freedom; courage is acting meaningfully despite it.
- Creativity is one way people answer the demands of existence.

- **Carl Rogers — congruence and conditions of worth**
- **Congruence** means greater alignment between what you experience, how you understand yourself, and how you live.
- When you have to deny your real feelings or needs to earn acceptance, you can become divided from your experience.

- **Abraham Maslow — self-actualization and peak experience**
- Human needs include safety and belonging, but also curiosity, creativity, growth, and realizing one’s capacities.
- **Self-actualization** means developing what you are capable of becoming; **peak experiences** are moments of heightened engagement, meaning, or connection.

- **Erich Fromm — having versus being**
- A life organized around possessing, status, and control can crowd out a life organized around activity, connection, and growth.
- Fromm asks what it means to *be* fully alive rather than merely to have more.

- **Viktor Frankl — meaning**
- Meaning can come through what we create, whom we love, and the attitude we take toward unavoidable hardship.
- His emphasis is on finding a meaningful response within real circumstances.

- **Deci and Ryan — autonomy, competence, and relatedness**
- Wellbeing is supported by having meaningful choice, developing skill, and feeling connected to others.
- These needs help translate the map’s concerns about freedom and authenticity into everyday life.

- **Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi — flow**
- **Flow** is deep absorption in an activity that is challenging but within reach of your abilities.
- It offers one picture of flourishing through focused participation, rather than passive comfort or external approval.
>>
>>545065482
lastly, and thanks for the compliment:
- **The map’s central question**
- How can an outsider resist the pressure to conform, avoid being reduced to a role or label, and build a life that feels genuinely their own—while still finding meaning, growth, and real connection with others?

I don't think piracetam was ever cut with meth. Although in some ways, phenylpiracetam feels close at first.

it was all my back ups of back ups of back ups, anon. I had a million track JRivers set up that was like the best jukebox on Earth! And I wouldplay it randomly, while shitposting about politics and playing chess and whatnot and anyways, I have multiple playlists from finding good, unknown to me songs from the mass, and putting them in. All gone! Poof!
Only things left?
thasss riiite!
The old DVDs and the few dozen 'mixtape' CDs I had made during that time.
Everything else was turned to vapor and dispersed to thewinds of time.
Ten years of my life, gone.

So yeah, thats why I do these ...sorta...PSAs.

the only racetam that worked for me was straight piracetam. phenylpiracetam didnt at all. Aniracetam:, Oxyracetam (?), etc? Nothing.
& I used to get modifinal (named something else) brought over the border from Mexico (where it's OTC, believe it or not). The piracetam I was getting, and stacking with kratom, phenibut, caffeine etc, was way better.
Took years to taper down from all that
But anyways...
