because you are paying into a fund that supports
unproductive people’s its not really “based on what you pay into it”
>>
Better question would be why can't I just choose to opt out of social shitcurity and keep my hard earned money for myself? Seeing as realistically I'm probably never gonna actually see it by the time I'm old enough

This is not true. If you are a NEET or a nigger and don't pay into SS you don't get it

Human greed, human laziness.
The more domestication happens, the more parasitism happens.

Because of bend points. Basically the poorest idiot who makes 12,000 a year gets a decent pension (his contributions pay out as though they were compounding at 8% a year).
A middle income like OP's example gets a pension that grew at 2 to 4%.
And someone contributing the social security max basically pays for 2 other pensions getting a bit less than 1% return on his contribution.

These 'unproductive people' are your brothers, sons of God like yourself. Isn't it your responsibility to help those people become what you consider 'productive'? How do you expect to have a better world for you to live in? Waiting someone else to do this for you? Waiting for them to change their minds and gain the knowledge and initiative to fix what is, according to you, wrong in their lives?

Social Security is a wellfare program, the difference goes to poor people like this: >>545047509

The reason it's called "What you paid in" is because if we called it Wellfare and Taxes redhats would denounce it and conservatives would leave the GOP. Likewise if you admit it's wellfare it's easier to justify removing the income cap and rich people don't want that either.

Genuinely ignorant. That's $420k only pays for 158 months, which is 13 years and some change BUT social security doesn't just end, you'll still be paid out the same $2650/month for the rest of your gay life. That is to say, the taxpayer foots the bill after what you paid in runs dry. So no, a porch-camping nigger leech doesn't deserve to make $84k annually, you aren't fucking working.

Because the stock market goes down sometimes. A lot of older people got screwed in the early 2000s recession as they needed to retire but their investments had crashed.

The point of social security is that it's a safety net to ensure people who worked get at least a minimum amount of retirement income. It's not a wealth building program you're supposed to handle that yourself by investing. It's also not just about what you receive. Everyone benefits from a more stable society when older people are taken care of. Grammy being able to have a nurse come round to help means jobs for nurses and the grandkids are freed up to go work.

>Social Security is a wellfare program
check'd; again, the SS being discussed is not the same thing as NEETbux, that's a totally different fund
the "SS running out" everyone talks about has nothing to do with welfare or NEETbux, it's the retirement fund that you get nothing from if you paid nothing into it
