China is building what they need. US funds are speculating on anticipated demand and building unnecessary infrastructure on the assumption that someone will come along and pay them a shit ton of money for it in future. The biggest AI companies have more hardware than they can use because of Nvidia's coercive business practices. If and when the AI bubble pops I think it;s going to start with the bottom falling out of datacenter contracts as oversupply starts a race to the bottom in leasing fees and everything else gets sucked down with it.
