>Your culture will adapt to service ours>"Impossible. Our culture is based on Freedom & Self-Determination!">Freedom is irrelevant. Self-Determination is irrelevant. You must comply. How do you realistically fight an enemy like the Borg Collective without sacrificing the core values of your society? When the survival of the Human race is at stake, it appears to me any values like individual rights would immediately be thrown in the bin, and the whole society would transform into a rigid and tyrannical dictatorship. And then if the enemy is defeated? Look to the example of the final days of the Roman Republic to see your answer. The chances of the tyranny giving up power to return to the previously free society are pretty low.
>>545053167spam them with jeets until they choke on the diarrhea
>>545053294lmao. just get a couple trek ship equivalents to passenger ocean liners, fill em with dalits, send em directly towards the borg.A few weeks later starfleet intelligence reports all borg ships left federation space at maximum warp for good lmao
>>545053167I'm not convinced that tyranny is actually necessary to have a strong military. It seems to me that whenever tyranny is justified by some threat that it's mostly from people following irrational motivations like megalomania.
>>545053405There are species like the Pakleds that the Borg will not assimilate because they are too stupidhttps://youtu.be/KeFoGo3N_4g
>>545054164In a total war the state will need to co-opt all manufacturing and resources. The will need to, dare I say, seize the means of production. I have a plan to make any nation nearly invincible militarily without tyranny but it's too hardcore the rulers would never go for it.
>>545054302classic pakleds. My bros and I still quote "We are strong" or make up our own pakled sayings to this day. My buddy's dad straight up looks like a pakled too so much lulz.
>>545054396>I have a plan to make any nation nearly invincible militarily without tyranny but it's too hardcore the rulers would never go for it.QRD? Don't blow your keyboard now. Just give the bullet points.
>>545053167Realistically there is one singular way to make the borg go away. Nuke ourselves removing any interest the borg might have with our planet, since it will be radioactive wasteland with most of the populous dead
>>545053167We can't even fight the Berg.
>>545054720Underrated comment
>>545053167the idea of AI being a ruthlese vengeful god is why only pushed by religious self hating christ cucksthe rest of the world and common sense will cross that bridge once we reach it
Unironically 21st century Earth would do better against the Borg than 24th century Earth.
>>545053167> How would humanity fight the Borg?If you are talking about humanity today, there would be no fight. We would be conquered instantly. The end.
>>545053167Are we talking about robot niggers or the jeets that the US and Israel keep sending everyone?we must draw the line this far and no further
>>545054558Ok. This will work better in Bongland but it can be adapted for anywhere. We make the army strong by.... abolishing it!All the professionals get rolled into the navy, and all the army banners get sent back to the town halls. Then, start a new army anyone can join. The catch is you have to register a loiscnce and you have to buy your own gun. You can only buy a gun manufactured in the UK (or your country) and in the 5.56 caliber so everyone is using the same bullets like normal. So the members of the new army are organised into 8 man cells/ squads based on geography. So you all live nearby. Each cell elects a corporal. The 8 corporals elect a sergeant. 8 sergeants elect a lieutenant, who commands 512 armed men in the local area. The retired NCOs from the old army can be offered positions training them in basic military tactics. And it scales up, so the 8 lts choose a captain (4096 men), the 8 captains choose a major (32,768 men), the 8 majors choose a colonel (262,144 men), and they choose a general, who commands an army over 2 million strong. You might be able to make more armies in regions. Now, these might not be as hardcore as the full-time pro soldiers, but there are a lot of them and they cost nothing, as each citizen - soldier bought his own equipment. Once it reaches a certain size you can also make other savings like abolishing the police forces and suchlike. And because you only allow native made guns you are boosting the economy too. Also health care benefits, they will be training so the public will be fitter. Then in a time of war you have millions of armed levies to draw from, instead of just a few thousand real shit kickers who have to do all the work and cost fuckloads, which is what we have now. There will still be professional units, but they will be royal marines infantry as well as commandos and the will be focused on maritime security while the main military spending goes on the big ticket items like ships and missiles.
>>545055911Man, I was in the army. I just want you to know, before you share this with anyone else, this idea would never work in ten million years. Soldiers can't just be chilling at their house and then get a text from their LT saying hey we're setting an ambush down on main street. Soldiers have to be forced to live in the same place they train, eat, and exercise because they're so comically infantile and unreliable. You have to spend millions upon millions of dollars just to keep track of them and make sure they're sober and present at formation, despite the fact that they live 30 feet away. Your plan would result in you being the only person showing up for battle.
>>545054678"Realistically" the only way to stop someone from raping me is shoving a stick of dynamite up my asshole to completely particlize myself so there's nothing left for them to rape. Yes, very realistic
>>545056312You don't understand. These are citizen-soldiers. In the event of a major war obviously these will be organised into more formal groups, receive further training and draw pay. The point is you have the army in potentia.
