The DOJ says he would provide an “exchange rate” of 50 cents in U.S. dollars to $1 of SNAP benefits.>>The DOJ says Singh allegedly intended to cause more than $1 million in loss to the government. Each count of SNAP benefit fraud carries a maximum of five years in prison, while theft or conversion of public money carries a sentence of up to 10 years.
