Starshield sats are basically the same as civilian starlink sats with but they're dedicated for better encrypted military comms and, well probably other highly valuable military things. The thing is they run as a sub network on the larger starlink network. All the satellites, starlink or starshield together form the totality of the transmission infrastructure so they're not exactly independently separable. Also when I mentioned other things, those other things may well be synthetic aperture radar as in principle any of the currently deployed satellites, regardless of version or whether they're strictly military designated hardware or not, have the capability of using their RF transmission hardware for radar imaging at extremely high fidelities. It's something that doesn't really get talked about because the people who know are probably in the business and the people who would like to know are layman retards who run war cheerleading accounts on twitter.
