The old Saver's Credit in the USA is being replaced with a "Saver's Match" that is a total bait and switch. One of the biggest advantages self-employed people had in the USA (less than 3% of the population btw) was the ability to write off a percentage of their individual retirement contributions. Now that is capped at $1,000 and is a check the IRS sends you rather than a credit on your tax return. And you only qualify if you make less than $35,500 (Europoor level in this economy). So now I have to work for Schekelberg if I want to buy Schekelstonks to retire.
