>JUST IN: Democrats propose letting AI companies go bankrupt rather than bailing them out if AI bubble bursts
can anyone on this board without seething explain why republicans would be against this? trump already said he'd bail them out. anyone with a brain here can explain why? free market and all?
>>
>>545122627
>trump already said he'd bail them out.
Sure, he can do that. With his own money.
>>

this is cope
trillions of dollars of infrastructure have been poured into AI
the people that bet on it own the government and will force a bailout, regardless of who is in office

>>545122627
Because it would cause a massive recession that would impoverish and kill a lot of people, you dumb fuck. Same goes for the banking bailout of 2008.
>>
>>545122627
literally and ironically too big to fail
we've already made the shit sandwich and you gotta take a bite
>>
here is an idea, give everyone a bank

Literally and ironically not too big to fail, just Too Big for Trump and the Guys the Dems are Going to Imprison and Confiscate the Assets of to Fail. You voted for this.

The market's not free. Too much keynesianism proves the state can get involved and choose winners and losers

Any politician that says they would let the AI companies fail either haven't taken money from the AI companies or are demanding more behind the scenes.
>>
>>545122627
Republicans somehow turned into the party of big tech, indians, and complete subservience to israel in just 1 year.
>>
>>545122722
War powers act = orange potus can nationalize ai debt with 0 congress input
Ai companies are now big supporters of ww3
>>
>>545122627
Every single equivalent company has been “saved” by the government throughout our history. Has there ever been a “too big to fail” scenario where the government actually let the company fail? I don’t think so, because they always stick their dick in the pie to get a piece and never pull out. So, like another anon said, the shit sandwich is made and it’s time for the working class to take the bite. Again. Billionaires will still be billionaires, in fact they have already leveraged this to make even more money off you poor goyim.
>>
>>545122627
Republicans are socialists who only apply socialism to rich people and corporations.
>>
>>545122627
>can anyone on this board without seething explain why republicans would be against this?

Depends on the market. I'm generally in favor of letting companies go under if that's what the free market wants; but if its going to crash the whole economy throwing some money at them to stop a panic could be a good move.

I work with my hands. I dont use any Ai, I dont generally find the Google search Ai responses helpful if i am searching for something.
>>
>>545123015
The scenario you’ve described has lead to an economy crashing 100% of the time. So, you just said that although you’re “generally” against it (not a stance), 100% of the time in this given scenario you would bail out the company. You’re a corporate communist. Kikes love you.
>>
>>545122627
About 90% of all GDP growth in the US over the last few years was from AI. If the bubble bursts and there’s no bailout then we will have something much worse than the 2008 housing market crash.
>>
holy shit hahahaha I'm so voting Democrat for this alone
I know there's a 99% chance it's bullshit but MOTHERFUCKING God imagine how kino it would be
>>
You know its just like the auto industry where its not just the car factory its also the tooling shops and their suppliers, a bailout for the auto industry was always a cuck move but it kept a lot of people employed for longer than they would have been otherwise making shit ass American cars.
So they cant just let all 200 people lose their jobs in the AI industry, they're also worried about the 2,000 people working working maintenance and security at data centres across the USA

okay so all of the democrats or just a handful in one subcommittee that shouldnt exist

>>545122762
Trillion of dollars of consumer products and energy were scooped up to make computers and electricity more expensive for everyone, then they want tax payer dollars to pay for it. This would be an outrage worse then bailing out the banks

Recessions are a healthy and normal part of any economy, retard. We havent had a Recession in 20 years and you stupid motherfuckers wonder everything is so expensive and you cant afford shit and unprofitable, low quality DEI slop is everywhere. Thats what artificially avoiding Recessions via money printing and fake market bubbles does to an economy.
>>
>>545122627
Because losing the AI industry while China or other adversarial nations continue to fund theirs means the US is putting itself at an extreme disadvantage for a future conflict. Both in terms of cyber warfare and actual weapons technology. Realistically in the free market if they can't find a business model that works to stay afloat they should go bankrupt and close.

But this isn't a normal business where closure means a consumer product vanishes from the shelves. Its closer if the US let IBM, Microsoft ect go out of business in their earlier years because consumer products were costly and not quite ready for the general public to adopt. The US loses its entire advantage in the world of computing and all the innovations that required technological advancements made by them goes with it. Any other technology has to be developed inhouse so the US pays for it anyway or your buying a foreign product to use which now presents incredibly security vulnerabilities.

> Trump plz help!
> HSARPA takes controlling equity stake in company
> nobody at company complains because their unvested stock options are worthless without the infusion of cash
>>
>>545123301
Two reasons
1. The government uses their services and needs it
2. They are going to be publicly traded by the time of their collapse, and thus people's retirements will be tied to it.

I and many others have been sounding alarms over their IPOs for this specific reason. They want to be too big to fail. But the truth of the matter is that private equity put all of it's eggs into the AI basket. The richfags will lose it all if it goes under. But the regular joe will only take a small hit.
>>
>>545122627
why would America bail them out they contribute nothing to the country
>>
>>545122627
... why the fuck you would bail them out? It is their own fuckery that caused the bubble in the first place.
>>
>>545123481
well good luck bailing them out with worthless money lol
>>
>>545123495
because trump is heavily invested in them and does not want to see any linegodown.

>>
>>545123512
Because America looks out for the rich. Plain and simple.
>>545123526
Doesn't matter. Worthless money hurts the people who have less of it anyways. Richfags assets are spread out to ensure they survive either way. Average people's are not.
>>
>>545123179

I think people need to come to the realization that a lot of the market performance from AI was fake and gay. 100% of it was market manipulation between the big AI companies daisy chaining investments back and forth.

Our real economic performance is what this looks like without the AI. The dead cat bounced months ago. We have been trying to prevent a recession worse than all the previous ones combined. Now its inevitable.

Giving the AI firms a bailout when we are about to hit rock bottom is just an easy way to give them kindling before the lights go out countrywide.
>>
>>545123423
And China won't let it completely fall apart. Your going to see lots of that technology brought in house and likely a consolidation of companies.

>You know its just like the auto industry where its not just the car factory its also the tooling shops and their suppliers, a bailout for the auto industry was always a cuck move but it kept a lot of people employed for longer than they would have been otherwise making shit ass American cars.

Yes but if we bail out the AI industry we arent bailing out PEOPLE, the industry is mostly computers and middle management. Not people.

We can safely let AI companies sink in this crash.

Its always so funny watching the party that is out of power (whther it be Dems or Reps) always take so tough and pander so hard to their base knowing full well and good they cannot implement any of their policies. But the very SECOND they get into power all of a sudden its "ah jeez dood we can't do that anymore we're going to give a temporary bailout to them for the economy"

Meanwhile the now out of power republicans will be like "We'll fucking shoot illegals on sight!"
>>
>>545122879
huge percent of people are deeply invested into ai even the middle class now

I would hazard to say the entire american economy is hail marying ai as the next big thing because if it fails we got nothing and china wins
>>
>>545123885
It's been fake and gay far, far longer than that. At least since the tech boom in the 90s made it break 10,000 for the first time.
>>
>>545123275
one detail: the biggest data center consumes no more than the water and electricity than a 100k city.
This argument can therefore be raised only by people who do not support infinite immigration. because them being million consume monstrously more.

>privatized profits, socialized costs

Would be nice. All they would have to do is just block the companies from accessing additional money funds. Let them fund it themselves.
