What decade or two would you argue is the peak of western civilization? Id argue 90s to the 2000s but I think the 70s or 80s is probably valid despite my not being born yet. I’ve heard good arguments for it.

Definitely 80s but it’s a dual edge sword that’s when the boomer’s kids took over society and begun the process of pulling the ladder up so they could have everything and more their entire lives at the expense of their offspring.

Peak fertility and growth. The belle epoch. The advancement of industry and capital under the stewardship of the nouveau riche and the noble classes of old europe. It is so weird that that was it. The British economy was getting better until 2008 so I'd say the decade leading up to 2008 maybe, although immigration had risen by then so maybe the 90sI was born in the mid 90s so idk
