Reading books is the most normie and pleb coded thing a person can do. Anytime some normie comes to me with a revelation or an epiphany they have had, it’s always accompanied by “i learned it in ____ book, you’ve GOTTA read it”. Can these retards not just think for themselves? I think reading is the first form of broadcasted indoctrination

>>545136359There's nothing inherently bad about learning something from someone else, you pretentious dipshit. Especially those who have much more experience, knowledge, and wisdom that you might. There's a difference between blindly accepting everything an author says based purely on faith, (which, yes, would be indoctrination) and reading their arguments, comprehending them, considering them thoroughly (sometimes long after you've read the book), and then come to a measured conclusion if you accept them and, if so, to what extent. Just because you read a book and find value in it doesn't mean that you must or should just unquestioningly adopt the totality of their worldview. The point of reading isn't just to download information. It's to learn, contemplate, and assess. Yes, books can purposefully written to try to propagandize their readers. But that can be said about any single possible vector of communication. It's up to you protect your mind and decide what beliefs and ideas that you permit inside it. This idea that you're supposed to just develop all of life's wisdom instantly on your own is retarded. Live experience is important but so is comparing and contrasting that with the experience of others. Nobody figures everything out on their own.
>>545136359Andrew? I thought you were in jail.
Maybe you'll stop talking like a nigger if you read.
>>545136359https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crab_mentalityOP wants other people to be as retarded as he is. His anti-book stance is a rationalization for his intellectual sloth. Anyone retarded enough to buy his anti-book stance is doing it for the exact same reasons as OP. Intelligent people just shrug at the stupidity and move on. OP will spend his life in a Dunning-Kruger loop and never notices it.
