Weinstein had his own theory bucking the status quo in physics, he never really got any traction with it and had a bone to pick with academia ever since. Over the last few years as he's been confronted with stories about black projects and underground research, he's continuously stated that there had to be some kind of paper trail of disappearing leaders in the researcher field. At first he was just debunking but after a couple years he starting find evidence of all sorts of talented people getting swallowed up by these black projects.
