The Polish military (via Wojskowe Centra Rekrutacji) is sending mobilization cards to Poles, mainly passive reserve soldiers, but also some civilians with key skills (IT, logistics, medical).

In sum around 300,000 Polacks would receive them now in the first wave.

These documents assign specific roles/units for potential mobilization under the 2022 Homeland Defense Act and a May 2024 regulation. Receiving one is a preparation for mobilisation. Failure to report if activated can bring at least 3 years in prison.

Color of the stripe is decisive:

Red: Passive reserve soldiers must report to active duty at the place/time on the card. "Natychmiast" means within 6 hours of official mobilization/war announcement.

Green: Also for passive reserve, but activation needs a separate call-up card or public announcement (not automatic from the green card alone).

Blue: Civilian/employee assignment - work for military needs (transport, tech, admin, etc.), not as a soldier. Can also include a 6-hour "immediate" order.

This is the first large-scale practical rollout of the new, color-coded system created by the 2022 law and 2024 rules. It sharply raises peacetime readiness and reserve/civil integration amid the security situation in the region.
