All around the world, you can find headlines like this popping up as an excuse for past or future power failure. Instead of exposing the fact that solar flares are the true cause and that our magnetosphere has weakened and will continue to weaken, they will want to shill a narrative that continues to place power in their hands.
>don't worry goy, some guys took the copper wiring but we'll...we'll increase security, or something.
>meanwhile auroras dance above the house of the boomer rube who believes this garbage

This city is in my province and they're already priming us. What local power/grid related headlines are floating around in your locality, /pol/?

You should be absolutely elated.
Two week power outage in Canada in mid-January solves your entire pajeet problem.

True winters up here are gnarly. -35c easily especially in Jan and February. It's just funny how the cops have no clue who stole these copper wires AND that copper wires are being stolen from power lines of all places in 2026. This is laughable as copper can be derived from many safer sources.

Is there at least a drug epidemic in edmonton to make it plausible?

AI is a bigger problem.
The way to solve this is to allow the thieves to be killed as long as there's evidence of their attempt at stealing copper. Since it's the only way to solve the problem and the problem must be solved, I suppose it's eventually what will happen.

There's been a small one like in every major Western city for the last 10 years at least but it hasn't led to them scaling poles and stealing copper wiring. The first few tries would lead to death or serious disfigurement. Edmonton police afaik has had flock cameras and facial recognition tracking for one year now. There's a camera in every inch of this city yet they have absolutely zero clue who these copper thieves are. Lol

But you're right though. Maybe they'll sell the story by pinning it all on some random homeless guy. You must have food, water, guns, tools, and gold available when SHTF. Keep your eye on the ball: people did not cause this, nature did.
