I stopped watching TV and movies entirely about a decade or so ago after the woke shit started to get out of hand. I just assume anything that comes along is going to be woke so I've no interest in even looking into whatever new slop comes along.That being said, his performance in those TNG films already tarnished his stellar reputation from the TNG series. He was like a completely different character from one and the other. On the series he was some scholarly gentleman with a keen interest in archaeology and things of that sort; but in the films he tries to be some action hero that rages and smashes the archaeological artifacts he decorated his quarters from one of the TV series episodes. In the films they tried to make him into some neanderthal action retard, and that might have worked out if he hadn't been such a geriatric fossil even at that time and if it didn't go so against the grain of his character. Bottom line, I think the Picard character was ruined even before that Picard series. If only those TNG films hadn't happened or else had been done better. But his performance on the TV series was still good though. You just have to ignore all that came after.
