Donald Trump was "supposed" to be that in 2015 and later got Superpac money from Sheldon Adelson and the billionaire Robert Mercer after winning the primary in 2016. It seems dam near impossible to get an serious economic populist on the right wing because of the economic domination billionaires have of the GOP atm.
