There is the concrete possibility that the internet will go down soon due to war or some AI fuckery... are you ready to browse the archives offline?>there's already code for it on githubAlright but I want to do it myself from scratch, as an exercise, with the functionalities that I desire. I will have an AI optimize it later. My homemade Python/HTML reader is starting to look good, now you can even click hyperlinks to previous posts. The colors are not definitive, still experimenting with that.
Now the multiple hyperlink per post are being displayed correctly and link to the correct post.Coming next is work on the other little reply links. Are you ready to dive into the matrix?
How some of the code looks like right now.Constantly improving with each iteration. If you were here when I posted my other threads you know where to find more info.If you're lurking leave a bump so more frens can see how to access the archives in case of total internet blackout.FUCK GLOWNIGGERS
Namefags are also correctly recognized now.
>>545190456making it a clientbased app i can phonefag would be so peak i wouldnt even have to go here anymore
>>545192091One step and one iteration at a time, let's see where the current work brings.
>>545190456A good autistic effort have a bump anon.
>>545190456I already have an archive in my brain so I'll just use that if the internet goes down.
>>545192379ty frenoh... for some reason it's truncating the post text when it encounters a double quotation mark (").Let's see how I can fix it.
>>545192484I'm pretty sure your brain capacity is below 100 GB anon... otherwise I'm interested in your memorization techniques.
It seems I have discovered a problem in the original database. Some of the posts were truncated due to what AI calls an "involuntary SQL injection".Not my fault, but it's an error in the database itself that happened at the moment of save. Hope there aren't many of these truncated posts.
Bumperino?I think I'm going in a good direction with the reply links, I managed to get them out of the function in a global variable:
>>545190456Where are you getting up to date archives of of non-4plebs boards? Only ones I can find stop at 2021
>>545195278There's the warosu ones to begin with (but maybe they're not csv's):https://archive.org/search?query=warosu&tab=all
>>545195373Oh, these are the ones that stop at 2021, nvm.Try asking an LLM to search them for you, maybe it finds something.
>>545190456Anyone have any idea how to install nautiluszim on windows 10? The pip installer works until it doesn't, saying it can't find the libzim library, which I've installed, but can't find the .dll files anywhere for.
>>545192784The secret is data compression. Most of /pol/ consists of the same 10-20 threads posted over and over by ADHD-ridden zoomers, so you only need to remember them once and then you can focus the rest of your mental capacity on threads that actually contain new information, which are increasingly rare these days.
I'd be free and just read books instead, thanks. Why would I want to read archives of bot posts?
>>545198855If you can't get why then this thread is not for you.
I think I'm very close to having functioning replylinks.
>>545196279No idea, never used that.
>>545196279https://pypi.org/project/nautiluszim/> You'd want to install it in a dedicated virtual-environment (python3 -m venv some-env && source ./some-env/bin/activate)There's a BAT in Scripts\ you can use instead of sourcing.You should be using WSL2 anyway.
>>545193447That sucks :(';DROP TABLE posts; --
BUMP
What program do you use to read the csv files?
>>545195278>>545195373>>545195411Find the 2013 and prior archives, that’s where the gold is
