Swiss anon strikes again!
There is the concrete possibility that the internet will go down soon due to war or some AI fuckery... are you ready to browse the archives offline?

>there's already more complicated code for it on github so you can run it on a server
Alright but I want to do it myself from scratch, as an exercise, with the functionalities that I desire and as simple as possible, less than 500 lines of code.

My homemade Python/HTML reader is starting to look good, I finally managed to get the correct reverse reply links with a bit of vibecoding help.
These little niggers are hard to implement if you never tried a similar task beforehand.

The colors are not definitive, still experimenting with that.

I want (YOU) to try building a similar reader for yourself, you can find some code screenshots here and in previous thread as a help.

This is what part of the code looks like now.

Good luck to the brave anons who will accept the challenge.

If rogue AIs start roaming around, nukes start flying or undersea cables start being cut, of course.

Next step in my work is to get reply previews like in the real thing, when you go over the link with your mouse.

Another function to be implemented is to rank posts based on reply count, so we can see what ideas are most high IQ or controversial.

The main part of the script is only 110 lines long and it works great. It only needs ~50 more lines to either load or stream the csv file and then it's done.
I think it's more or less as simple as it can get.

Is your IQ high enough to bypass AI powered censorship?

Please help bump the thread, anons.

FUCK SHILLS AND GLOWIES

Yes. All it took was a few google dorks to know that nobody speaks factually about Palantir whatsoever

are you gonna publish this on a git or zip them into catbox.moe? i kind of have an interesting feature idea but its way too autistic to explain. but i know enough of python's syntax to pull it off probably

It's coming out well, now I can rank posts in a thread by number of replies.
Had to change a few things but now it works.

I see no usage of try/except in your screens, look into those keywords. Also use better logging to directly print values to the console so you can immediately see where something goes wrong.
You can use a logging module or write your own quick function that only runs when you for example set RUN_LOGGER = 1, so you don't need to delete your print statements if you feel you don't need to debug anymore.

Throwing a function into Claude just to see how he cleans it up will also help you a ton
>>
Sloppy job, mossad
>>
>>545257641
>I see no usage of try/except in your screens
Yeah didn't use that because the only instances where I would have strictly needed try/except was inside a concatenation and didn't want to fuck everything up.
I already heard about these anyways, surely I could add them here and there too to prevent exceptions.

>Throwing a function into Claude just to see how he cleans it up will also help you a ton
I don't have Claude but I used various LLMs to clean up a bit here and there.

The free tier of Claude has a cap which resets every 5 hours, and you'll pretty much hit it instantly by letting it check your .py file, but it's way ahead of other LLMs.
I'd just chuck a file at it once or twice a day and tell it to clean it up.

I feel like your flow is also something like
>have idea
>it needs to do x -> y -> z
>put print statements to see if it does x -> y
>cool it works, i can delete it now
>put print statements to see if it does y->z
>cool it works, i can delete it now
>print(z)
which is fine until it doesn't work anymore and you regret deleting your old checks.

Give the first 5 few mins a watch to get an idea of how to vastly improve keeping track of how your functions get handled and how to easily hide/show said info

Pratti ur indian
>>
>>545259064
Yeah it's more or less as you say, but after I delete the print statements I substitute them with an output to txt or HTML file.
I have several backups so I can go back to the versions with the print statements.

Interesting, I will watch that video.

>>545259090
I'm not that disgusting jeet.
