If you want to research the political history of your family
to see how mutted you are
you can do it with just a few sentences with AI

Tell your AI agent to make you a full genealogy report of your family tree
give it the names of your grandparents, where they lived (if you know), where they died (if you know), it would make it a lot easier if you give the agent the names of your great grandparents. Ask your parents/grand parents if you don't know. Or ask the agent to help you figure out you their names. It just makes it a whole lot easier if your have the names of your great grandparents ready since the birth certificates and death certificates and state records of people aren't publicly available unless they were born 150 years ago or something, then the records enter the public domain.

your agent will then go wild pouring through thousands of public records, as well as newspapers,
tracing a web of your lineage,
going back centuries. it took 13 generations for my agent to hit a dead end just on my direct paternal lineage. It could trace your maternal lineages as well, but know that becomes exponential. And it'll be hundreds of people after a few generations. The maternal lineage is harder as well, since women typically change their names when they marry.

I found out I'm related to James Monroe though not directly paternal more like a nth great uncle. I found a lot of stuff about my direct ancestors but I don't want to say here.
>>
>>545295655
I mean poring through not pouring through
>>
I found out as well that I'm basically a full blooded Angloid.
Gong back 13 generations, it's all Anglos, except a Dutch wife, but that's Angloid as well so
>>
>>545295655
My dad didn’t go out for milk and cigarettes so I already know my family history
>>
>>545295655
i am very white but my great grandma fucked an italian. should i commit crime now since my life is worthless?
>>
>>545296040
And do you know your family history back four centuries?
>>
>>545295655
You asked a word generator to generate words and now you think your related to Monroe.

I hate 2026.

>>
>>545296076
My agent gave literal proof,
copied census records,
newspaper clippings, and even a whole book that it cited

It didn't just generate it. It found proof each generation, and then tracked it back as far as it could go.
>>
>>545296065
Further
There is an online family tree too

In the US, basically all census data, birth certficates, marriage certificates, military records are complete public data and searchable. At least before around the year 1900.
>>
>>545296187
If you have an AI subscription
they already know your name since you're paying them, so what the fuck does it matter if it knows who your great grandparents are as well?
>>
>>545296173
I mean it's no different than when they just made it up in their heads. It be a lot easier to control them now. You simply just have the robot tell them to not revolt and be good.
>>My ai said so!

Honestly. If these people want to renounce their humanity they can just put a gun to their foreheads and pull the trigger. If save me a step a middle man in talking to Google and Sam Altman.
>>
>>545296236
I don't? I'm a pretty hard humanist. I think ai removes your reason to exist. If you surrender thought to it, why even have the organic middle man?

You're just too stupid to know how to utliise AI

>>

Why are you taking pictures of food when you could have drew it yourself?
>>
>>545296303
I've used it. I just think it's gay and retarded and the people who use it surrender thought and therefore why even exist.

Ask your ai why you should exist if all you do is repeat it's information to me. Why not bypass you and just talk to Google directly?
>>
>>545296361
Cause I'm a farmer. Not a artist, you tried to be snarky and show hole in some weird question to associate me with artists who hate ai?
I think your both pretty queer. The artists was the first parasite and now we have a even bigger one in you.
>>
>>545296376
It's no different from you using an internet connection to deliver your message,
instead of hand delivering a message yourself.
>>
>>545296414
You are too stupid to talk to, put the ai in the chat please.

>>Sending messages online is no different than having a machine think for you.
Ok, idk how to even begin addressing that. I don't think you have the ability to associate things anymore.
>>
>>545295982
House Habsburg fears this man
>>
>>545296407
And I'm not a genealogist,
so if I have an AI agent research my family tree for me I'm not losing any valuable skill.

Besides, using AI as a shortcut is only detrimental when you're a kid, like they force elementary students to do long form mathematics instead of using a calculator. You'd decry a calculator as dumbing people down. It just makes people more productive.
>>
The people that scream, cry, and shit themselves over AI only hate it because they know that it will come for their bullshit job soon.

If your job can be replaced by AI, it's not a real job. Maybe you should learn a skill.
>>
>>545296470
Ai has its uses. It's great at finding words to begin research. You take a picture of a item and ask what it is typical called.
It fails around 60% of the time to identify items and will feed bad information with absolute certainty. The fact you think it can only influence children in itself is dangerous thought there will leave you vulnerable and easily manipulated.

You do you man..but I still want to know why I need a organic middle man if all people are going to do is regurgitate ai answers?
>>
>>545296585
>it fails around 60% of the time
and the last time you used AI was in 2020. Is that coincidence?
>>
>>545296470
This is a good example of a real world use that you can verify easily.

But you should never let it think for you and understand this information will be manipulated unto itself. i exclusively used it to find the item at online retailers to see it's original price. The star rating I would consider manipulated along with being suspicious of the price.

Meanwhile your letting it tell you that you were related to folks and your taking it at face value. I think that is dangerous.
>>
>>545296517
The people that misread disgust and disdain as "hate" are the usual group of faceblind retards.
>>
>>545296627
Your upset and just making things up because I hurt your feelings by not sucking ai cock. You don't know how to emotionally respond because ai stole your ability to interact
>>
>>545295655
You have no way of verifying if what the AI said is true you fucking retard. You gave it some names, it looked them up, and the rest is all made up bullshit
>>
>>545295655
>give AI your family history
oh yeah, that's a great idea
>>
>>545295655
And you completely doxxed yourself to a service that only makes profit from selling people's information.
>>
>>545296688
Sam Altman is quietly cumming to this thread
>>
>>545296676
Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

7 years ago I researched my genealogy
myself, before ChatGPT even existed publicly.

The AI independently came to many of the same findings as I did 7 years ago, plus much more.

I could confirm much of what it found to be completely accurate firsthand.
It found a lot of newspapers, I got those straight from the sources, and that wasn't easy for me to do back then. so even if it was a new finding that I hadn't previously found on my own, it had the sources to provide for me.
>>
>>545296627
Take a picture of a call duck. Remove the meta data..i will give you a picture of one
Ask if what kind of duck it is. It can't identify it because call ducks are niche. I raise them. It will call it a mallard. They are not mallards.
It will, with absolute certainty, lie to you.

I raise call ducks. They are ornamental batam breeds and a niche. It isn't talked about alot online so the ai had limited information to draw from

This would be lost knowledge at this point which is kind of wild to think about.
>>
>>545296470
That's exactly the wrong attitude you need to have towards AI and you're clearly not used to thinking for yourself.
Think about the news, when they talk about a subject you know, you notice how fucking stupid they are and how much bullshit they made up. But the moment they move to a subject you don't know? You trust everything they say because "they must be the experts, what do I know?".
You can use AI to do the boring things you can verify yourself whether are correct or not. You cannot let it do shit you don't know and pretend it's right.
>>
>>545296627
>>545296799
It is a batam mallard cream crossbreed call duck.
I bred it myself.
>>
>>545296799

It sounds like your program is using Google
>>
>>545296627
>>545296799
>>545296826
You can watch it fail real time on the latest model.
>>
>>545296791
The key is "plus much more"
You know the correct things because you looked then up yourself. If you hadn't you would have had no idea if it was correct. Say one of the info it gave you is clearly wrong, and thanks to your own research you know. Now think if the info was not part of your research and you have no way of knowing.
You can use it to point out sources to you who you will then verify yourself. You cannot use it to verify things for you.
>>
>>545296815
The more you know about a subject, the more leverage you can get out of using AI. You get a lot of people like you
that aren't technical, and they use AI for writing emails and think it's fucking stupid because the writing isn't anything special.

It's like giving a retard a calculator. Someone that knows how to use it could use it to great effect, to do mathematics they can't just do in their heBut a retard isn't going to know what to do with it, and think it's just a dumb hunk of plastic, or only good for adding 10+10
>>

Computers and algorithms have existed for 50+ years. Decent voice recognition algorithms have existed for around 15 years. Good visual recognition algorithms have existed for 15 years and keep getting better. The 1000x capabilities are called algorithms. I've been keeping track of AI progress
a bunch of my posts are missing from the archive, so this is an old one

It takes three posts now for me to list all the achievements of AI

https://desuarchive.org/g/thread/108797233/#108797233

Every time that AI reaches a new threshold, people just move the goalpost.
I've seen it happen a hundred times at this point

And the achievements now are really on an entirely different level, but I lost my post from a month ago. Nothing even about AI progress on the Riemann hypothesis.

People on /g/ were smart enough not to respond to your retarded ass.
No one ever claimed almost any of what you wrote, and the rest didn't happen. No one ever claimed that a text predictor cannot predict text or create something entertaining. What it cannot do is go outside of the sources it has, or verify their integrity in a vacuum. Or create something that finds its meaning in the effort it takes to create it, like art. Or find purpose in life beyond what its database says.
>>
>>545298035

>>
>>545297925
You're desperate to give away your agency because you hate your own agency and yourself. The fact you drown yourself in anime characters to not hear your brain think shows it.
You're convinced that human thought is negative because your own has led you to hating yourself. And as a consequence you hate humanity and wish for something to replace it.
So the honest line you should say is "I hate humanity so I wish AI would replace it", and not "AI is superior so it should replace humanity".
Read Epictetus, you'll get better.
>>
One overlooked fact is the demise of technical forums. As a no-nothing graduate I frequently wrestled with understanding Linux and asking for help would elicit condescending ‘read the fucking manual’ type replies. Now AI can help me achieve what I want to achieve in incredible without the middleman of a fat ugly smelly socially inept retard- whether on a forum or in the workplace. I fucking love AI. It’s the death-knell of smug unhelpful know-it-alls.
>>
>>545298223
AI is humanity
non biological, artificial silicon based humanity.
>>
>>545298096
You understand that AI predicts lines of text, so what's stopping you from understanding its limitations?
I can tell you what, you WANT to not understand, like leftists WANT their ideas to be true, doesn't matter if they actually are. And when they turn out to be false they try to change reality against itself, and when it doesn't work they shoot themselves.
>>
>>545298321
AI has demonstrated a countless litany of novel capabilities, all of which, no human is capable of.
>>
>>545298295
That's the real purpose of AI. Programmers spent their days copypasting code from forums, and now they cut the middleman. It's a glorified copy-and-paste + search engine, while it's sold to retards like OP as miracle machines.
>>
>>545298366
Let's talk about why you hate yourself, you're fat? All it takes it to exercise and nothing is stopping you. No girlfriend? Stop wishing from things outside of your control. Want to be a woman? Stop wishing for things outside of your control. You should never be frustrated for what is not your fault. Look at what CAN be determined by you and your behaviour and work on it and you will stop hating yourself.
>>
>>545295655
This shouldn't be able to work due to ambiguities introduced by incorrectly filled out, or just flat missing, records.

Mother did genealogy for decades and once you got more than about 100 years ago the quality of records really went to hell. Most of the time it was names misspelled so you had to try and confirm that person was the one you were really looking for and not someone else that had a similar name. Or the name would show up a couple counties over from where it should be. Same guy or not? Had to try and confirm it one way or another. Ai can't yet do that part. Sometimes vital records are just flat missing due to war and disaster wiping out courthouses.

There a good likelihood that I'm a descendant of one of the Scottish Undertakers (she said, but I've since forgot which one) on the paternal side. Problem was somebody was going to have to go to the UK and do actual footwork to prove the link since those records were not online. Never did, nor will ever, happen. On the maternal side I may be related to a Mayflower passenger but the relevant record of that passenger and the particular child that would link me is missing, so best I'll ever get is "probably". Again both of these examples are something that Ai could never overcome.
>>
>>545298028
Who do you think made the ai?
>>
>>545298813
the US has been doing a census since 1790
the census records name everyone in the household, their ages

AI found my ancestors even with spelling of the names changing.

If you have an ancestor named
A name like Rutherford,
being spelt like Ruddford, Rudford, and Rutherford in different generations is going to be easily noticed. James Rudford had a son named John Rudford, but a census two decades later lists a John Rutherford it's not hard to figure out what is going on here.
>>
>>545299156
Since when can Ai make intuitive leaps?
>>
>>545299156

>>
>>545299200
Easily

that struggle ended over a year ago with frontier models.
>>
>>545299482

the AI did all that research autonomously. I didn't tell it to query these two names, or check this other spelling. It found everything from a single prompt.
>>
>>545299494
>>545299520
Sorry, not buying it. Maybe later.
>>
I feel like when the retards insist
>AI is this stupid
are talking about GPT 2 from 2019
and capabilities of AI are just frozen at 2019 levels.

They're not talking about Claude Mythos, or ChatGPT Astra.
both of those models are smarter than you ever could be,
and I ever could be. You can't hold a candle to their capabilities. It's not even a comparison. You'd have to be at the absolute top 1% of an advanced technical field to be able to tread water with them. They are beyond human capabilities.
>>
>>545299520
Because it was the logical consequence of the prompt. It looked up what line of code needs to be written to answer your input. It cannot say that a source is dubious, that a thought is moral, or who should say whether a thought is moral. Not only that, it cannot notice if the output is correct because it has no way of verifying it.
>>

nothing but fucking narratives and anecdotes,
and petty selfishness motivating every stupid opinion, and ad hoc rationalisaton to soothe their emotions.

the prompt almost exactly word for word

>my grandparents and great granparents names are ,x, x, x, ,x, and they are from x and x, and my paternal great grandfather was born in 1926
it did everything, built my family tree going back to 1650
>>
>>545299692
They sound smart because their data is written by smart people. When they have a research paper in their database that corresponds to what you're asking they will pull out that paper. They did not "think" that paper, they took the words and repurposed them to answer your question.

>>545299902
You will never admit it right now because it would mean accepting that your brain's thoughts resulted in your situation and you'd have to face reality, but you need to question yourself on whether you hate yourself and this results in you only wanting to talk to an algorithm that reinforces what you tell it. And then find out why and work on it, or you will never get out of it.
I know this all runs off of you like water but take an hour of your time, do not touch any electronic, and let your brain have the time to tell you why you don't like what it says. We all do this, everyone drowns their emotions in entertainment so they don't need to hear them. But there comes a point where you can't ignore it anymore.
>>
>>545300034
Well what did you expect it to do? You told it to seach corresponding names in the databases it has and write out the resulting connected genealogy, did you expect it to give you a list of cakes? It searched for algorithms used to look up genealogies and within those algorithms there are lines to check for possible minor differences
