How do we solve the pension problem?
Eat the elderly.
>>545303044Can you describe the "pension problem"?
In in the U.S. we have two ways to delay Social Security's inevitable bankruptcy: raise the age to receive maximum benefits and tax SS benefits.
>>545303044Age and begin collecting your own pension and then vote for more pension. Standard operating procedure.
>>545303116There's very little nutrition in the elderly
>>545303044France is fucked economically. But taxing the rich more is the only way to fix things. America will be facing similar issues to France in a few years. But we both face the same problem of the boomer generation being greedy and creating expectations of younger generations to meet or exceed boomer generations which likely will not happen without violence.I do not understand why those under 40 or 35 or so do not just band together to elect politicians. Most countries you only have a few parties and qualifying to run just needs a few thousand signatures. Need to start electing people who serve the young. The old need to realize they exist to give the young as good of a start as they can.
>>545303242You niggers are part of the problem. Social security has a maximum you can pay in per year. Once your income exceeds that you pay $0 on any dollar made past it. If that rule had never existed then social security would be funded beyond 2100. The rich not being taxed is why social security will run out.And the actual solution will be to take out debt to not lower payments. They will not raise retirement age and they will not tax it more. Instead debt to pay.
>>545303116Don’t have to eat them but they do need to die in some fashion
>>545303044Change the tax structure.Abolish social security and state pensions. Privatize pensions and retirement funds. Retirement funds voluntary, can withdraw retirement funds in part or full at any time.
>>545303044Companies here stopped offering pensions.Pissed a lot of people off, but they can always get a government job if they really want it.
>>545303044Immediately: means-test it.Over the longer term: ramp it down and end it.Anyone who's on a state pension but has X amount of wealth stops getting it or gets a reduced amount. That would include houses, but if you give your house to your kids then you can stay on the state pension (encouraging family formation)For ramping it down, basically, if you're right at pension age then you get the full thing (minus means testing reduction), and past that it gets linearly reduced, if you're halfway between adulthood and retirement age then when you retire you get half pension, if you're three quarters of the way there you get 75% pension, one quarter there you get 25% pension, etc. And anyone who hits adulthood after that point gets no state pension, they're over.Likewise, all income tax for EVERYONE is reduced by the amount that previously covered pensions. The existing pension fund's investments will pay off anyone who qualifies. If it runs out then tough shit, pensions hit a hard end. If it's actually more than is needed then the excess however many decades down the line is just liquidated to pay down debt.
>>545303193At the time when modern retirement systems were introduced in the late 1800s and early 1900s, the eligibility for them was generally narrow and the age at which you could start collecting was close to or over the average adult lifespan of the population. When police and firefighter pensions were first introduced, you had to be at least 55 and had to have been on the force for at least 21 years at the time of retirement; this applied to *maybe* 4-5% of people employed in those areas. When social security was introduced, the retirement age was 65, and the average adult lifespan for a male was like 60 at best. 90% of your potential retirees were dead by the time of retirement. So these systems operated in the black - you paid into them with the understanding that you probably wouldn't see much, if any of that back, but that it would provide for those people who lived an exceptionally long time and weren't physically capable of supporting themselves by that point - but also that you wouldn't be supporting them indefinitely. That hasn't been the case for almost 70 years now - today, men generally live about 15-18 years passed the retirement age and women live about 17-20 years passed it. More people live to retirement and more people spend longer on it. Social security's non-interest revenue hasn't been in the black for 15-20 years and its total revenue hasn't been in the black for the better part of the last decade; and this is despite constant attempts to push that deadline back like extending the retirement age and tweaking benefits. Within about 4-5 years, the remaining surplus of social security funds will run out and it will be supported only by current income taxes. These are enough to support benefits of projected retirees at about 75-80% of their current rate through 2035, about 65-70% through 2040, and probably half the current rate by 2050.
>>545303242The U.S. is in fantastic shape compared to other countries for the following reasons:1) the U.S. has trust funds or pension funds for its pensions. Most countries do not (including France); they “pay as you go” from annual expenditures. 2) the U.S. is low tax, so there is room to increase taxes without seriously damaging the economy (whereas European countries are already high taxed).
>>545303193More and more old people.Less younger people. Can't bring immigrants at the same rate, since people are starting to notice the consequences.
>>545305678Birth rates have also cratered mostly everywhere so there won't be migrants to cover for pensioners in 20 years. Unless you really think Nigerians are hot shit.
>>545303044Literally just tax jews. What's the problem here?
>>545303044Glad you asked3-points solution that solves the problem permanently, in less than 5 years, and 100% fair. Nothing is taken away from anyone, this just stops the ongoing theft the boomers are enacting against their own kids.> Conversion of all pensions to "contributivo" effect immedate. You no longer get a pension based on your last salary, you get a pension based on how much you paid into the system. Like everyone else will starting approx 2036.> Entitlement based system. What you pay ends up on your personal account. Same contribution rate (about 40% for italy), but instead of paying into the INPS blackhole, you pay it towards your own personal account. It's still an obligation to pay, but now you do it against your own account. Like a 401k for burgers, but without the fiscal benefits.> Stop to the automatic refinancing of the social security agency (INPS in Italy). If INPS doesn't have money to pay pensions, either pensions are cut or the parliament explicitly votes for the refinancing. If they have to steal, have them do it in the open - with political consequences. Here it is. Done. Pension issue is 100% solved in about 3-5 budget years. But then again you have the (((corte di cassazione))) blocking the government from reducing the automatic increase due to inflation of pensions boomers haven't paid for because it's against the constitution, while gifting the same boomers 180 BILLION EUROS to fix their vacation homes tax free. Same boomers that removed the automatic increase of salaries with a referendum in 92 by the way, cause THEY didn't need those anymore.Fuck boomers, they would deserve so much worse than this. This is actually very graceful to them. They can just sell one of their 3 properties they've inherited from their parents to pay for their lifestyles (bonus - housing market will go down, maybe some 20 years old will then have a shot at buying a commie apartment in a block, you know the ones they gave to boomers for FREE)
>>545303044Drop the euro.
>>545303044Covid was going to fix your pension problem. Instead you destroyed societal cohesion and the social contract. Now you get to enjoy the fruits of that labour. Boost up, slaves.
>>545305581>the U.S. is low tax, so there is room to increase taxes without seriously damaging the economymultiple states this cycle are attempting to pass amendments to make it so changes to tax law require two-thirds or even three-fourths majorities.
>>545306083>Entitlement based system. What you pay ends up on your personal account. This is extremely biased against employment-challenged and work-averse individuals. What if we just made up some more money? That always seems to work.
>>545306083>like a 401k for burgers but without the fiscal benefitsThat's just a really shitty savings account then, spaghettinigger. The reason a bunch of us HAVE 401k's is because of the benefits and returns thay come with it. I'm 35 and put money into a high risk 401k due to the higher return rate. It's offset by the higher risk rate of losing money if the market dumps, which if you pay attention to Trump you can tell when to move ahit around to avoid the hits, he's a pretty good predictor of whether my money is about to be whacked and gives me time to grt it out of the way if he's not really good for much else. What you're talking about is a weird single payer government managed savings account. Which I would trust a government employee not to overlook my steak at a shitty chain restaurant, let alone manage my money, and neither should you.
>>545306668>That's just a really shitty savings account then, spaghettinigger.I'll take a shitty savings account over giving all my money to boomers by law> I'm 35 and put money into a high risk 401k due to the higher return rate.I know but again, I'd take a shitty HYSA over gifting my savings to pay for boomers third cruise this year> What you're talking about is a weird single payer government managed savings account. Not government managed - it's your own account. You just wouldn't be able to access it until pension age, but it's all funds in your name.
>>545303193System used to be designed that pension amounts was just enough that a generation could finance itself and a bit of the next. Then boomers happened, and used their raw electoral mass to force the system into turbo-luxury mode and having the next 4 generation pay just to finance the boomer's retirement. Then boomers did everything they could to make the next generations broke as fuck (so less amount paid for their retirement) and unable to sustain a family (so less people paying for their retirement) because it made them feel better if others are having it worse. Now the system would need to taxes the next 12 generations to pay what boomers voted to give themselves.Boomers being still the largest raw electoral mass mean no politicians will ever do anything serious against them.Boomers being psychopaths mean they will never admit their plan was fucking retarded from the beginning and that it's time to scale down to something sustainable.
>>545303044Everyone works one more hour a week. (Oh yeah, the riots and protests. I forgot)
>>545303116You will be elderly one day.
>>545303044stop spending billions on foreign wars for one. Macron promised 300b for AI. Stop taking in all of Africa. Suddenly you have more than ample space to cut back without riots.
>>545306895They unironically did that several time already, around the last heatwave, back when "look at the poor boomer grandma that nearly died of overheating in her secondary mansion!" was still getting people to shed a tear."Solidarity days" where you work for fucking free on day normally considered holiday. They tried again recently to add more of those but yeah this time people are finally aware that what boomers deserve is the rope and not more money.
>>545303044>Trying to get people to save and invest starting in their twenties, so pensions are no longer important.Screams of homicidal rage.
the united states police are faggots, the state troopers are faggots, the sheriffs are faggots etc why bother worrying about their pensions if someone wasn't trying to pass them off as acceptable on forums like reddit?
>>545303332lol
>>545306836jew hands wrote that wall of propaganda text(((congress))) raided the social security funds to bankroll their wars for jews.Fiat currency and money printing made it dwindle faster.Giving shitskin aliens benefits who have never contributed will kill it.
