Idk about you guys but my local mall that I loved to hang out during the 2000s seems like it just died with the times.For one, the goth and emo kids kept the pop culture stores open like hot topic and spencers. After that trend died, those stores either went away or became different.There was a wider variety of stores that attracted more people in general like video stores and whatnot that have become obsolete.My local mall kind of sterilized itself around 2010 by getting rid of our large fountain and open areas in the atriums and filled them in with these bland carpeted sitting areas that somehow seem less welcoming than just the open mall floors.
