Cultural tolerance for your hikikomori lifestyle has very little to do with income level. Its a factor, but the main issue is the religious basis of the society

The religious undercurrent is what determines how people behave. Tolerance towards neethood is determined by reformation theology in Europe/US

If your a white middle class protestant your chances of being thrown out on the street for being a neet are far higher than if your a latino catholic who lives in a smaller house with less money

If your an english speaking white canadian protestant neet your in way more danger than a french neet in a family of the exact same income only a few miles away

>Ancient Catholicism saw poverty and psyc afflictions as somewhat holy
>Protestantism flipped the script and said they where a signs of sin
>Northern Europe, esp UK then US became Calvinistic, work is the ultimate virtue
>Southern Europe stayed ancient Catholic, same with Latin America
>In parts of Northern France/Mid Germany and Ireland Catholicism became heavily Protestantised (an Irish American Catholic family will destitute their neet offspring much more often than their French catholic counterparts in exact same income/housing situation)

In Southern Europe being a middle aged hikikomori is a literal non issue. Its normal and pretty much accepted. In the UK/US its seen as being as bad as a murderer by allot of people

In Japan its considered somewhat shameful, yet, its very much tolerated in a way that would prob shock many Americans. Yet just over the ocean in South Korea it would not be tolerated whatsoever
>>
... the fuck makes you an expert on the topic?
>>
Re the Chart, Scandinavia should really be on the same level as Jansenist Catholic countries. Their attitude is only tempered in modern times by the welfare states they have. Remove that and they would be on the same level or further down than the Jansenist countries

Also note, this is well researched. Im not mapping overall chances of adult dependents being thrown out either. Im showing where/why youl be thrown out due to neethood (economic inactivity/''failure to launch'') specifically

Canada is amazing because it best proves the hypothesis. The French Canadian family wont engage in this behavior while the Anglo Canadian in a nearby town (exact same income level/housing size) will destitute their neet offspring at high rates. Likewise the Jansenist/Protestantized Irish/German Catholics of the states adjecent to Quebec will do it much more than their French counterparts.

Again, goes back to the type of Catholic theology. French Canadian Catholic Church never protestantized. It retained the prereformation view of poverty, charity ect. It never adopted the protestant work ethic. Like the Southern European the French Canadian Catholic views the poor as an opportunity to exercise the virtue of grace

Its closer to the eastern religious view of karma. Its why they still refuse to suppress street begging in southern europe (same mindset to hindu India).
>>
People in Southern Europe, Latin America and French Canada to some extent, have a different conceptual model of poverty/charity/work

Its a premodern model. The poor will always exist as a caste/class as the economy can never absorb everyone. There will always be perpetually unemployed

The goal is not to integrate them, but to demonstrate grace and sustain them - or create avenues towards asceticism. This gives you spiritual merit. Its similar to how eastern religions see karma.

Protestantism destroyed this, and said poverty was suspect at best, calvinism even suggests its a sign of being cursed. This is why your chances of being destituted as a neet are way higher in regions where calvinism in specific was strong

You can be a neet in much of Itally, in a small home of few means, its a non issue. You can live a small mansion in the US and your parents who own holiday homes and fleets of new cars will destitute you and feel justified in doing so (and your family wont fault them in many cases)

Again...where you are on a map makes allot of difference in so many ways.

People would be shocked in the UK/US/Canada if they knew certain things about nearby countries/cultures

Like in much of Itally/Spain/Portugal/France/Balkans/Greece

You can be a 40yr old neet virgin who lives with his parents and there is literally no shame in it.

Literally nobody cares, youl be treated with pretty much the same (slightly less perhaps) respect than anyone else

The mortal shame and often visceral attacks youl be subjected to in the anglosphere for this simpily dont exist within those cultural zones

Now, Americanized jansesnist itallian Americans...thats a different situation entirely. Or modern Irish, or parts of Northern France. These are places that adopted a type of protestant Catholicism long ago

>but Japan has a heavy work ethic

Yea but its counteracted by even greater stigma towards destituting your kin. So its not a virtual non issue/completely accepted like in Southern Europe (or Hindu India) but it IS completely tolerated, much more so than even the Jansenist category
>>
I thought this was going to be a comparison of welfare states: generosity, ease of obtaining (esp. for foreigner), etc
This anthropological survey has no practical value to the reader

Note on theology

Allot of people, esp modern Irish and Americans and so called American Irish catholics have this idea that ''hard ass'' catholcism is

>the real ''old school'' catholcism
>views human sexuality as inherently evil
>the poor need to be punished into virtue (reformation and protanstants put poor in first workhouses prior to this they had a statutory right to beg and glean for a living)
>stern and punitive is godly

What they are referring to is Jansenism. Its not ancient, it was considered a MODERNIST heretical deviation because it tried to appease protestant theology

Tradcatholcism = holyness is found in poverty, large respect for the destitute as they could be saints or angels so upmost caution. poor will always exist they are an opportunity to demonstrate grace

if someone has made enough money that they can family members who dont need to work in the market its a non issue, they can help around home. the concept of market productivity = moral virtue is not strongly estb, again its a premodern religion

What makes you think being a NEET is acceptable here? Its only acceptable if you're a woman. A man is still expected to work and provide for both his parents and his family (wife and kids) once he's in his mid 20s or you'll be considered a failure (I know because I was NEET once).
There's just no expectation to move out of your parent's home, that's all.

The motive to work and get a decent job is that youl get vagina, a nice house, cars, holidays ect.

Neets dont get any of that, nor do they expect it, they subsist by gleaning. So permitting them to live this way with some level of respect doesnt have any effect on the broader social motivation

They have always been and will always be a small subset.

The question is how are they to be treated. Some cultures treat them with respect, others dont

>motive to work and get a decent job is that youl get vagina, a nice house, cars, holidays ect.
Sorry to break it to you but wagies these days aren't getting it either.

>>545356452

>once he's in his mid 20s or you'll be considered a failure

No only in your region is this crippling mortal weight an issue. It evaporates once you enter other cultural zones. Again, a middle aged neet in Southern Europe (or Latin America for that matter) experiences very little stigma

Its like how someone who mistreats a cow in one part of India will get gang-stalked or murdered in one region, but thel be fine in another region just across a river or such

It is you should read deeper. Why do you want to go through digital gulag systems anyway ?

You can only obtain welfare (which is debt money) through extensive digital and formal systems in protestant Europe

People will give you loose change, let you work cash in hand and feed you properly if your poor in Southern Europe.

They wont make you sign into any dodgy legal documents or digital systems that you dont understand

>nigger doesn't even understand what ubi means
It's not conditional. It's unconditional free money. if there are secret conditions that's an entirely different matter.
>>
>>545357413

It activates dormant nanomaterials in your brain and estb a BMI to the backend of the 5G grid when you sign into that system

Yes there are deep conditions that are completely hidden from everyone
>>
>>545357413

The system aims to make you a surety against national debts (specifically your brains neural architecture, which is quantum computational)

This is then seized upon covertly via the wifi backend. You end up being assimilated into the tech grid/seized upon as a collateral asset

Notice how many people are getting tinnitus around the end of the covid lockdown period ? what do you think the vaccine was btw ?

This is why you dont go near ''free money'' from the state, and take charity instead (pertains to the thread).

>nigger doesn't even understand what ubi means
He properly explained what that it's exactly here

No such thing.

Are there non jansesiaist time capsules of ancient galeic ireland left in Ireland ?

Yes, the very remote fringes of the west, some of the islands.

The culture out there never fully anglo. Even compared to what most people think of as old irish culture (which is still modern angloirish) they are even older culture, the last vestigas of galeic pastorals

You can be a neet out there and there is zero stigma, like Itally or Greece
>>
>>545359410

>no judgemental af small town gossip and ire towards neethood

No. The exact same small villages slightly to the east yes, but once you pass into the parts of the galetacts where clachán housing systems existed.

its a different ethnic group, its the last of non anglo ireland. different culture. what your doing as a job in the economy doesnt mean much and its considered rude to even ask, and virtually no stigma from being neet

again tho...identitical village a few miles east, very different attitude
