Christian here. Occultism is considered a joke/edgy teenager religion now so most don't think about it, even the old people. Modernism is the more hated religion amongst real Christians (eg: not the United Church). Buddhism is ignored for the most part, likely cause the people who actually deeply worship it are miniscule plus there's alot of moral crossover. Hinduism floated under the radar, likely because older Indian immigrants didn't practice it. The whole Izzat/Jugaad side to Hinduism is a recent discovery, I suspect hate will grow.

Now I can go to any country in the world and attend Mass, it will be the same everywhere, just in different language, maybe in Latin in some, but the core rituals are the same, Bible is the same as it has been since St. Jerome, I feel safe because we share the rituals and the spirit. I'd go as far to say that Orthodox and Eastern Churches feel similar, I can respect them.Now in unorganized religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Mormonism, Protestantism... You never know what's real, what's heresy, which sect is dominated by crazies or not.The other problem with Buddhism and Hinduism is their core belief in reincarnation. There is no such thing in Catholicism. We believe in a single life from conception to death. There is but one life and one afterlife that will last forever so make sure you go to Heaven immediately, Purgatory is the default. I am aware that some Buddhists have something similar. And I'd like to note that there is very little defined material on the Christian afterlife, most of it is Dante's fanfic. Finally there is no such thing as karma, there exists only original sin, venial sin, cardinal sin, mortal sin.
